Cheers you are both right. It was either wait for a new system or get my grubby hands on VR now. I couldn't wait, I had to try it. Due to funds and a family that will kick my head in if I spend anymore money I went for the VR and a cheapish upgrade. Now I save hard for a new rig.

My PC is just over 3 years old and at the time of buying it, it was far from a high-end machine. i7-3770K (3.5GHz) GTX 680 8GB RAM 1TB SSD Last weekend I got the Oculus Rift with the intention of trying it on this system with low expectations and then upgrading my gfx card next month to a GTX 1070. When I set it up I jumped straight into DCS and dropped myself into the cockpit of the A-10C. I was blown away! "Dad stop swearing!" my daughter shouted as I was trying to describe the sensation of actually being there. And that's the point I was sitting inside something I was so familiar with. I know this cockpit but I had never sat there inside it. I could look around and see the detail that went into every switch and knob. Everything is huge. I had no idea how big these planes were or how big in scale the cockpit was. Taxing out I had the canopy open and felt the urge to put my arm on the side to rest, but of course it is not there. Flying, I was breath taken and I really mean that in the physical sense. I was saying out loud "WOW!" "WOW!" "WOW!" I had toned down the settings and had the pixel slider set at 1 but it still looks good. It looks awesome. I do get times where I get motion sickness from a low fps but most of the time it is fine and it gets better the more you do it. You adjust to it and I feel ok now after a week. I can't wait to get the new gfx card. This really is a game changer for me. This is a bigger leap than Track IR and I won't fly these wonderful modules in any other way.

I've followed all the instructions. I can get the data from the CDU to show in my iPad and when I click on the CDU buttons in sim , inside the pit it then shows the change on my iPad CDU but when i click the CDU buttons on my Ipad nothing happens at all? Can anyone help me out with this? EDIT: I managed to get it working. I wasn't setting a rule for outbound for the DCS.exe just inbound. Works really well no lag issues at all.

Great stuff but playing "Land Of Hope And Glory" seemed odd at the very best but damn right creepy from a British perspective.

Can't wait to get my hands on this module. The Swedish really nailed it with this beautiful aircraft. I pre-purchased it last night. Does anyone else play Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations? If so do you know of any scenarios that use the Viggen within any missions, If so can you send me a link or point me in the right direction to get them? Well done Letherneck on producing what looks like a classic within DCS. I missed out on the MIG 21 but will get it in time.

I want to get the Mig 21 but it still says 49.99. Will it be discounted on purchase? -
What the above poster said just keep at it. I have a mission setup where I go from point to point practicing takeoff and landings. I have setup trigger zones so flares go off and smoke is popped with some other effects to keep it more interesting and to give me something to aim at when I come into land. I don't really have the time to fly much because I work full time 2 kids etc. But this holiday I wanted to really nail it. After a few hours on day one I was getting quite good. I can now do it quite accurately and I land where I aim for. I still have the odd mishap but that's all part of the training process. You do get much better over time. But not such a long length of time as you might imagine. Good Luck!!

Su-27 Open-Beta chit-chat and first impressions!

Hi, I haven't flown A-10c for a good few months and it's been about a year since I had it setup with the mfds exported to my second monitor with the Cougar mfds overlayed on that. It worked really well. Has anything changed with about a years worth of updates to make it easier or do you still have to mess with LUA files and lots of numbers etc? EDIT It's ok I have it all sorted now. I backed up my old LUA file for the monitor and it works fine now. arnt I good boy? :)

Not working here either. It's not a show stopper just wanted to see if it was a simple fix etc.

Really tough. Thanks for posting this. Harder than Air to Air refuelling :)

Thanks for the link it still doesn't say how to apply it when you go to buy something which I have tried.

Great video. That has to be some of the smoothest flying i have seen in DCS. Nice one.
