Well I saw this coming a mile away. DCS A-10C comes out and now the servers are all but empty. What about the future of the servers? Are we going to have some servers that are DCS A-10C / DCS KA50 and some that are DCS KA50 / FC 2.0? I really wish ED would consider making both DCS titles compatable with FC 2.0 until they have at least one fast mover. My fear is that this is going to divide an already niche community. My vote is that when a DCS fast mover comes out they just drop FC 2.0 compatability all together, but until then they need to keep them compatable. Any thoughts on this? If ED does not do this I expect to play on some very low populated servers. I would appreciate some official ED feedback as well as some community support.

I think one thing your all forgetting is that all these modules start as military projects. You know the military that takes the lowest bid no matter what. 50 dollar hammers...... 500 dollar toilet seats.... See where I am going with this? When you buy a console game your buying something specifically made for a consumer market. All this was paid for by a military at probably super inflated prices and then tweaked for a consumer market. So don't even try to convince me that buying an ED product and buying an EA product are anywhere near the same thing.

Perhaps thats true. I would'nt think they would look exactly the same though. Todays flight sims are alot more complicated and users typically want more buttons than the MSFF2 sticks offer. Also after the Vista failure I think Microsoft is trying to rebuild their name. I don't think they would ruin a good product name and bring themselves negative press.

I'll check it thank you. However "optional hardware" is kind of broad. I wanted to narrow it down to a specific type. Also I knew about that post. I am the one who started it.

I have noticed many sites selling either USB or I/O based gauges for FSX. I was just curious if anybody has found anyone that sells these that are DCS BS compatable. I would very much like an Airspeed Indicator and a VSI, and dare I dream an HSI. If you have a site that sells these things please post them. Please only post sites that you know for a FACT are compatable with DCS.

Yes you can use it in FC 2 and yes the forces ARE active.

I am no programmer but If someone should make these work and release the code I would most definately be intrested in a purchase.

I am just curious if any of you have tried to use any hardware meant for FSX for DCS BS with any success. Do any of you ever use the signal flares? If you do what do you use them for? Does your flight squad have predetermined meanings for each color? Does anybody use these things in muliplayer?

What programs do you use to do this. I ask because I am pretty intrested in 3D art. Thanks.

I just don't even know how to respond to that. I play DCS / LO because I want to experience modern air COMBAT. My time is not infinite. I don't want to waste my weekend flying 2 hours cross country then two hours back. I don't mind a 15 minute flight or so but honestly if I wanted to fly cross country I would go play FSX or X-Plane. If you really love those longish flights perhaps your playing the wrong kind of simulator, maybee FSX is a better fit for you. They have military aircraft. If the flight dynamics of FSX are not good enouph X-Plane is pretty good, you can even get it FAA certified for pilot training.

Honestly I think MSFFB2 really is the Ferrari of FFB sticks. Too bad they don't make them anymore. I mean they haven't made these things in years and there still working perfectly, talk about quality (most sticks last what.... a year maybee two). I wonder why MS does'nt rerelease this product?

Well appol I checked out the http://www.aef-hq.com.au/ website. It looks pretty nice and they are even fellow countrymen. Looks like a good fit maybee you should check them out.

I will help you. I will go even further. I guarantee you will be able to basically fly the BlackShark in 2 hours. I have taught 4 people and have 100 percent success rate so far. One person I helped was even able to enter into a perfect manual hover. I am CST time zone. I am available from 10:45PM CST untill about 3:00AM CST. My Email is ZQuickSilverZ@live.com. BaD CrC can you tell me what the pit building SDK is, what it does, and where I can find it. I think I might like to build a pit. KA50Oaks said where he gets alot of his parts and I would be intrested in taking a crack at making my own pit. Any info you can give me about making my own pit would be appreciated.

Maybee you need to update your BIOS. Also I'm pretty sure that BS is not too graphics card dependent (GPU). I think its mostly processor dependent (CPU). Anybody want to comment on this?

Yeah that reversed axis is a pain for people that don't know about it. Don't know why they havent fixed that yet. By the way ChromeWasp I was thinking of getting a CH throttle since they sell them seperately. Do you use a seperate throttle? I have also heard CH makes thier products incompatable with other hardware on purpose. Will a CH throttle even work with a Microsoft product?

I live in the United States. Oklahoma to be more specific. We use CST here. Also do you fly with a Force Feedback stick?

Succellus I play on the 104th public server about everynight 10:45 PM Centeral. I would be more than happy to give you a crash course in trimming. I have taught 4 people this month that could not control the chopper. When I was done they could control the chopper (nothing fancy were talking basic straight flight and turning) and the last one could even enter a perfect hover manually.
