  1. First of DaD CrC your simpit is really cool. I looked at all 23 pages. You do not have dimensions posted. Second, I think we can all agree that the forum search engine is kind of hit or miss. What I am looking for specifically is something simular to this. http://home.arcor.de/simpit/F16fighter/Main_Front_Instrument_Panel.PDF Found on THIS website. http://home.arcor.de/simpit/F16fighter/Downloads_Download-Site_for_Co/Black_Shark/Cockpit-Drawings_Triggerhappy_/cockpit-drawings_triggerhappy_.html Though this is very nice the source as far as I have seen is not validated and I am not sure how "offical" these dimensions actually are. This is not a case of I am just lazy and asking for the answer on here. This is a case of I researched it and hit a wall. KA50Oaks I don't suppose you want to post your measurements do you?
  2. Some aspects yes. I would like it to be realistic if possible.
  3. Does anybody have a diagram showing the measurements of the cockpit panels? Millimeters would probably be best. Also I would prefer one that shows distances between instruments as well and not just the main panel housing height and width. I would like these measurements for the top panel, the main front panel, the side panels, and the rear panels. Thanks for any help.
  4. Mower I swear everytime someone brings up FSX you trash it. FSX is not a flight simulator, it is an operations and procedures simulator and it does it's job well. I happen to think it looks great even at med settings. Back on topic...... this mod sounds fantastic.
  5. If you jump out the helicopter will land itself. Also think about the wieght you will save.
  6. Its perfect except one thing.... lack of buttons. I have a G940 and let me tell you MSFFB2 has a WAY better feel.
  7. Sounds neat but it hits a bit too close to home for me. I work for American Airlines maintenance base and I swear this would be like coming home from my job to my job. Might be pretty cool if you did not already live in that world for real. Good luck. Also I might add that it seems you have all the realistic bases covered. I really like the part about the codeshareing and alliances. I like the part about the "feeder" airports too . It shows you have a good understanding of how airline operations really work as opposed to just making up a bunch of things that sound good. If your really intrested in the airline world this sounds really realistic.
  8. Sorry Avilator but this is the first I have heard of this video. The guy sounds like a total struise anyway.
  9. Does your stick "sway" when you are playing or is the setup pretty rigid? What was uncomfortable about the center mounted setup. Would you recommend this product?
  10. http://rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims/floor_unit_f321.html You wanted easy, cheap, small space, and use with existing equipment right? Check it. Uses ANY office chair and can center mount a stick as well as throttle and pedals. My ONLY issue might be extreme angle on the stick. I am sure that can be altered to straighten it out though I know you said center mounted but you might also consider this. http://rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims/floor_unit.html
  11. Updated Map The before mentioned map altitude in feet was off by +2 feet . This has been corrected. Please use the new version of the map. It's always one little thing right? Also I have started working on the secondary airfields that have been listed on this forum. If you find any more please post the coordinates. Ill try my best to get them as accurately mapped as possible.
  12. zdXu can you give me the coordinates of these airfields. If you do I will either add them or make a supplemental.
  13. This is a modified version of the TC-1 map. The table includes Airfield Numbers The Airfields are numbered per SU25T number assignments Runway Headings The first number is the default landing direction Runway Altitude and Length This is given in Meters and Feet. Keep in mind the landing gear can throw this measurement off. For instance the A-10 will show four feet higher than actual elevation. Longitude and Lattitude coordinates These are located in the MIDDLE of the runway. For added fun type the coordinates in GOOGLE EARTH. They match. A compass rose A compass rose that shows both Heading Numbers AND Directions http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=jooesmendpm16cd&thumb=6 If anyone finds an error or has a suggestion please post.
  14. Ka-50N and Ka-50Sh From the time the Ka-50 was ordered in 1987 it was known that the limited night-time capability of the original Ka-50 version would have to be upgraded to meet night attack requirements. Some Ka-50s were fitted with low-light TV and infrared sensors for testing. Kamov drafted a design in 1993 that included the Shkval-N sighting system that included an infrared sensor. They were named Ka-50N ("Nochnoy/Night") and Ka-50Sh ("Shar/Sphere"—because of the spherical FLIR turret). Many variants were tried; on some the original "Shkval" was supplemented by a thermal imaging system, while on others—completely replaced by "Samshite" day-and-night system (also used on Ka-52), including French SAGEM or Thomson thermal imagers. None of those have entered full production. http://www.ask.com/wiki/Kamov_Ka-50 The Ka-50 has appeared in only a few variants and mostly developmental types that tried to shore up limitations in the original design. The V-80 represented the originals prototype designation and was followed by two V-80Sh-1 "Shturmovik-1" pre-production models. A night capable Ka-50 appeared in the form of the Ka-50N and Ka-50Sh types. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/ka-50.htm Ka-50N (Nochnoy: Nocturnal): Also reported as Ka-50Sh. Night-capable attack version; essentially a single-seat Ka-52. Programme began 1993; originally based on TpSPO-V and Merkury LLLTV systems, which tested on Ka-50 development aircraft. Ka-50N first reported April 1997 as conversion of prototype 018 with Thomson-CSF Victor FLIR turret above the nose and Arbalet (crossbow) mast-mounted radar, plus second TV screen in cockpit; FLIR integrated with Uralskyi Optiko- Mekhanicheskyi Zavod (UOMZ) Samshit-50 (Laurel-50) electro-optic sighting system, incorporating French IR set. First flight variously reported as 4 March or 5 May 1997; programmed improvements included replacement of PA-4-3 paper moving map with digital equivalent; by August 1997, FLIR turret was repositioned below nose and Arbalet was removed; by mid-1998, had IT-23 CRT display replaced by TV-109, and HUD removed and replaced by Marconi helmet display. Proposed new cockpit shown in September 1998, having two Russkaya Avionika 203 x 152mm LCDs and central CRT for sensor imagery. Indigenous avionics intended for any local production orders; French systems as interim solution and standard for export. Republic of Korea Army evaluated both the Ka-50N and the baseline Ka-50. In 1999, pre-production aircraft 014 was exhibited with a UOMZ GOES sensor turret in place of Shkval. http://www.aviastar.org/helicopters_eng/ka-50.php
  15. Let me guess Mower, shaken not stirred right?
  16. There is a joke in here somewhere I just know it.
  17. Hi MOWER. May I ask why you want to join a squad that is limiting itself to one aircraft? The War Hawks have been flying the A-10C. We have multi user interactive brieifing rooms for members. Not just a static map showing shoot here. When you fly with us you will have a true understanding of your mission. You can ask questions and get intel just like in the real world. We have good, mature, easy to get along with people. We have top notch training tools. When you fly with us we are professional. What we are not is joyless and arrogant. So if by hardcore you mean informed, working as a team, using standard operating procedures, and full realism then check us out. If your looking at the 16th ACCW Flying Tigers I can vouche for thier flight knowledge and expertise. The War Hawks and Flying Tigers have flown together in joint operations and I have had a chance to get to know alot of them. Good bunch of guys.
  18. Thanks Deadman. You answered my question. What did you use to render that 3d mockup Flim?
  19. Ok 3 things. Number one what is MDF? Is it like Google sketchup? Number two. Why use the thrustmaster MFD's? Just use Helios for that. By using those your throwinng off your scale, your adding more wires, and spending more money. Third where did you get that seat? Thanks.
  20. Better watch out or they may engage in a hostile takeover of your simpit. Walkers Angels. Wish my wife could handle stick................. Yeah thats right, I went there.
  21. Everybody knows the perfect simpit has a porcelain pilots seat and a cup holder. Just kidding. That was pretty cool. KA50Oaks may have a contender.
  22. Pffft. My wife would probably buy it. She loves the Titanic.
  23. What software was used?
  24. Kite ya gotta teach me Italian. Welcome to the DCS forums.
  25. Hi Tyger I would be intrested to know how you got all 3 screens to display (cockpit, behind the helo, following the helo) at one time. Is that a third party program?
