  1. I appreciate your response. I guess you're saying that those effects are not coming untill the new DM for WWII, but why is it so hard to get clear answers here? Even if it would be just estimate. Can you share your own opinion on when it might be here?
  2. When can we expect the new effects shown in newsletter from 2 months ago? Next update? Or is this going to be one of those things that are "really close" for couple of months?
  3. Good job on the new fire, It's perfect! Will there be new smoke effect added in the upcoming update?
  4. Was there minor effects update? It seems like fire luminosity was increased (where was just orange texture before now we have glowing fire effect like from trailers), but the old smoke/fire animation is still present. Perhaps first part of the update?
  5. But the one in screenshot is USAF, I thought they'll update all liveries with that sick looking weathering. Next time I guess.

  11. Seeing that warbird screenshot almost made me exited, thinking we are finaly getting new damage model and effects. But it's nice to hear obout the fixes and better performance, hopefuly on channel map as well.
  12. Well you can see that basically on every forum involving a game. Two extremes, like M1Combat said - wank/white night side. But this particular product is little different than for example how EA games and DICE work. When studio makes a game, they depend on their investor/publisher and have to communicate and listen to them. Here, we are the investors, but it's absolutely impossible ED could listen to each individual player. Perhaps some people see it that way and demand to be involved. I'm not one of them. Although, expecting open communication and regular status updates seems reasonable to me.
  13. I underestand what you mean, but it very much depends on one's approach. You can be toxic or unreasonably emotional about it, or you can express yourself in civilised manner. It's not necessary a bad thing to complian if you're not a**hole about it, they might actualy appreciate the feedback. There's always gonna be people complaining under status updates, I trust ED can handle that. Putting all caps disclaimer about dates not being set in stone in the announcements could help :)
  14. I believe most poeple here agree that bug fixing should be proirity. It would be understandable if things will be pushed back because of that. Anyway, I was hoping the status updates would be a regular thing.
  15. I saw that one, that's where the clouds info is from. Sorry, I should have explained more. I meant recent info. Something that would tell us if they are still on track, or things got pushed back to prioritize bug fixing. And if so what are the new estimates.
  16. It would be great to have status update on things in works (long/mid/near term). For example the new WWII damage model and garphics effects. Also what is the status of the clouds? They were supposed to be worked on again by may 2020. Has that changed? I realize the current focus is on bug fixing, but I don't know how much that interferes with things mentioned above, and what things from previous updates were pushed further away.

  19. I've seen the pics how it looks IRL, hence the disclaimer. I just don't like how "flat" it looks in DCS. I can make that 12C/D version if you want. From the original DCS crosshair?
  20. Is this intentional? In current version (top image), the lights are visible only at night, but almost nothing at dusk.

  22. Try to click on the desktop once the small DCS window apears (before the screen goes black). This helped me ever since 2.5.6. Probably something to do with fullscreen, it's a trange "fix" but it works on my end.
  23. That's irrelevant. The question is, will it behave like in the gif if you DO score a hit in a dogfight? This is where IL-2 absolutely failed. It's almost impossible to de-wing plane there, it will just start smoking and fall, and only lose wing if the whole plane explodes.
  24. Yes please, the mk108 seems a bit weak.
  25. Not really, it's more of A/A problem. Ka-50 can't take out other helos anymore(12 vikhrs and Mi-24 only smoking but still flying). And I had no problem bombing tanks in F-16 on current version.
