  1. Yeah, I was guessing the goal was to be level with the top of the HUD, but if you put the top of the front bolt halfway up the aft bolt, that puts you higher. lining up the top of he aft bolt halfway up the front bolt sounds more correct
  2. If there are further issues, don't forget the SRS discord. The dev is very active and a good resource
  3. The HOTAS mic bindings stopped being connected to the cockpit animation of the switch moving a few updates ago. SRS reads DCS mic states in most modules by looking for cockpit animations, so that meant it couldn't tell anymore. SRS hotkeys has always worked, though.
  4. I don't know that a changelog would be necessary, but at least highlights or black bars like they do in actual flight manuals tagging the changes in the last revision would be nice
  5. Doing that puts my head waaaaay up to the point where I can see most of the nose. Are you sure it's not the other way around?
  6. I wish ED would date the manual revisions in the file name, you just know someone down the road will get the wrong version and get confused
  7. Yup, brightness is controlled by the INTEN rocker on the UFC. IIRC, the amber NIGHT HUD setting is actually not NVG compatible, but the green DAY setting is In DCS, though, it doesn't seem to matter either way so you can take your pick, as long as you adjust the brightness
  8. I do think I remember seeing it on the A-10CII roadmap, but now I can't find the roadmap. Anyone have a link to the roadmap?
  9. Wonky AOA while on the ground stationary is seen in a number of other modules. I'm not sure if breezy conditions on the ground are strong enough to blow around AOA vanes, but that could be what they're trying to model, or it could just be a wonky DCS thing. I've no experience with AOA vanes, but I can't say I've seen them flapping about in light breezes when I see aircraft on the tarmac, and while they might get a cover, I haven't seen gust locks or anything, so I'm guessing it's more of a DCS thing.
  10. I've heard of some people using VoiceAttack or other macro programs to run through the various cockpit controls to change the settings at the push of a button once the plane is powered up. That's obviously not within DCS, but an interesting workaround. There are only a limited number of cockpit settings accessible within the scripts folder, and of course you run into the issue of breaking IC and having to redo it after every update/repair. Some useful settings accessible are the default MFCD brightness/contrast and TGP/MAV slew settings, but most things I haven't found poking around the scripts
  11. IIRC, you just need to get in range with the range staple in the lower left, and the MAN REL cue under that. Similar to JDAMs and GBU-54's

    Wheel Brake Bug ?

    Read again:

    Wheel Brake Bug ?

That doesn't square up with the physics I know of. You can skid at any speed, the maximum brake force doesn't decrease with speed. Just go to any parking lot in the US, wait a few minutes and somebody will slam on the brakes and skid, even if it's really brief due to ABS.

    Wheel Brake Bug ?

Watched @Avio's track. How are we determining the tires are not skidding? Given the way you can do airplane drifting in DCS, I'm guessing you can't really base that on seeing the tires lock up or slow down. I mean, it's not Assetto Corsa Is there a way to identify wheelskid in the interface, like the external info bar? I couldn't find one. OTOH, why stand on the brakes to a full stop? antiskid is supposedly less effective as I mentioned before. Aside from asking for skidding and flat spots, it's EXTREMELY uncomfortable and probably bad for the equipment. Yeah, I know it doesn't matter in DCS, but brake like you have passengers, and let up on the brakes before you come to a complete stop. Otherwise I suspect your virtual WSO will start throwing things at you
  15. IIRC, the default SRS setting of "Allow IN COCKPIT DCS Controlled PTT" has not worked with the standard mic switch keybinds for a while in the A-10C2, but someone noticed the DCS Mic 1 VOIP switch bindings could be used instead, so in the most recent SRS version you need to bind those instead of the standard mic switches and you're good to go. Note, though, I haven't tested this out myself. All this is irrelevant if you enable "ALWAYS Allow SRS Hotkeys" and set the bindings in SRS. This is what I do Check the SRS Discord for SRS support

    Engine Start Order

Oooooh, okay, that would make more sense

    Engine Start Order

That's pretty awesome, do you actually have that Hayne's manual? It's interesting that it's called the "Tank 1 Right Aux" but it's actually on the left side??

    Engine Start Order

Sorry about that, I snipped that off someone's website, I went back and double-checked and it did seem to be taken from an official document

    Engine Start Order

No, there are 4 fuselage tanks--Tank 1 Main, Tank 1 Right Aux, Left Feed and Right Feed. The two feed tanks are on the FEED channel on the fuel display. Tank 1 combines the Tank 1 main and aux tanks (I think)

    Wheel Brake Bug ?

Antiskid is less effective below 30 knots, so keeping heavy braking could result in wheel skid
  21. Yes. If you want to get an earful about 'why the hell are you flying around in full afterburner', ask Notso about it on the RAZBAM discord
  22. I stand corrected, then, thanks!
  23. On secondary instruments, yes. Less so (or not at all) on primary flight instruments
  24. 'Box' in the HUD? IIRC the designated point in the HUD is a small diamond, the TPOD FOV is the 4-corner box, right?
  25. LOL, I assumed he was just asking what it was, not what it actually stands for. You are correct, of course!
