  1. LMAO, what the hell happened there??
  2. You want the Move View Up/down/left/right/forward/back keybinds in the View Cockpit category. I think the defaults are RCtrl+RShift+numpad keys. These shift your view instead of just rotating them. It's also a good way to set your desired default head position, move your 'head' around with those keybinds, then press the keybind for 'Save Cockpit Angles' (typ) in the View Cockpit category to make it your default position
  3. AFAIK, ILS does not show range to location unless it's co-located with a TACAN (or DME)
  4. IIRC the TGP also cannot be in a tracking mode, e.g. PTRK or ATRK boxed. Ugh, I can't remember the pilot command, I think it's Auto-Acq press
  5. I was just thinking about its positioning that, intuitively, it might cause some negative lift as well, but intuition appears wrong in this case
  6. It wouldn't have been a good comparison to normal technique then FWIW it still seemed to float, just a tiny bit less. I half expected opening the brake to dramatically push you down into the runway, but it didn't feel that way.

    LGB tactics

Might want to check the RAZBAM discord, Notso has had some discussions about LGB procedures. To paraphrase a couple things, he talks about 20-50 degrees of turn off to avoid overflying the target, but not to turn back in, to avoid masking. I suppose it's not like the A-10 where you're expecting to hang around in an orbit afterwards. He also talked about immediately going to Guns AA mode to sweep in front of him once the bomb hit, among other things
  8. True, but the steering from the rudders will probably be a lot less sensitive than the nosewheel at landing speeds! Then, of course, you need to remember to center the pedals when you let go of the paddle after landing in a crosswind, otherwise you'll go spearing off into the grass
  9. Opening the brake during the roundout and flare only shortened my runs by a couple hundred feet, so not a massive difference or anything, but a little better
  10. I thought I remember something about one of those mods causing graphical issues in a number of modules? Can't remember if it was the UH-60 or C-130, but it'd be good to remove those and do a repair
  11. Just tried it, I was worried it would change the trim or pitch but it seemed to stay neutral during deployment. Cool!
  12. IIRC it's in the AG LOAD page. Anything that would normally be set by ground crew should be up there, not PACS. CBU-87 should be affected by SPIN setting, but AFAIK currently is not. CBU-97 is not affected, since the body doesn't spin to disperse.
  13. Here's my entry:
  14. You need to use set an SRS Intercom hotkey, and allow SRS hotkeys. There is no in-cockpit intercom switch for SRS to read off of. Right now, SRS does not have a hot mic option for the Strike Eagle.

    Flight Model

When the velocity vector stays stops moving up or down? There's also the G display in the HUD, since you don't have buttocks in the seat to feel it
  16. LOL, I did have some tightening in personal areas watching, but I'm just teasing
  17. ngl, was a little nervous seeing your aimpoint in the overrun area on final
  18. Cool, thanks for clarifying that, guys. So even though the power switch is called a "two-position rocker switch", it is identical to the "two-position, spring-loaded-to-center switches" like the brightness and contrast switch. That's brilliant technical documentation!
  19. To clarify, I suspect the power switch is a switch that flips and stays in the ON position when you press the top, then it flips and stays in the OFF position when you press the bottom. It does not have a center position. Just like the rocker light switches you can put on your wall--if you turn it on during a power failure, the lights will come back on when the power comes on. The other two switches are 3-position switches, with the top and bottom momentary (which is what you are describing).

    Flight Model

I was talking about some of the hardware he's managed to find, but that too

I don't know where that guy is getting his stuff for his project, but holy cow, some of it's pretty cool!
  22. Is anybody SURE the power switch is supposed to be a momentary two-way switch? Could it possibly be a two-position rocker switch that has not been animated yet? I don't know for sure, but it's described as a 'two position rocker switch', where the brightness and contrast switches are described as 'two-position, spring-loaded-to-center rocker switches'. That doesn't prove, but does strongly suggest the power switch is a OFF-ON switch, while the other switches are (ON)-OFF-(ON) switches, where the parentheses mean momentary or spring-centered.
  23. I just LMAO at the title of this thread IIRC, the speed I saw for the KC-135 refueling A-10's was 220 KIAS, I think I used 18,000' MSL and 290 knots groundspeed in the Mission Editor and it worked out about right
  24. I've seen some situations where when you jump in the WSO seat but you're still stuck with the pilot bindings until you go to Settings->Controls and change the category from F-15 to F-15 WSO. I'm not sure what those situations are, though IIRC, there are no animations for the WSO hand controllers yet
  25. Not wading into the realistic vs unrealistic sound squabble, but for now, at least until avionics overheating is implemented, you can turn the ECS off. Alternatively, setting the AC to MIN and/or setting the ECS to left or right only allows for a couple steps to control the overall volume. AFAIK, setting AC to MIN and ECS to L/R only does not trigger the display cooling warning.
