It's a reported bug already AFAIK. Designating while tracking seems to temporarily undo the track until you bump the TDC a little

With my mouse device, I am unable to use the mousewheel. It would be nice to have an alternate keybind to do this

How to designate OFFSET target? Bug I suppose?
jaylw314 replied to YoYo's topic in Bugs and Problems
My understanding is that the offsets are not for targeting, they are there as relative landmarks for the main target, e.g. you'd put offsets at various buildings or features that should be there while planning. Then you'd take a HRM, and if the target steerpoint is, in fact surrounded by landmarks at the correct locations, you know the INS hasn't drifted. -
It helps if you don't use autopilot inbound from your IP

My understanding is that a JFS only does work through turning the shaft. It has to be mechanically hooked up to the engine it is starting, and doesn't do anything else. APU's does other useful stuff, like providing bleed air and electrical power.

Thanks, but I think you will find that some for of head-tracking will do far more for you in the future Good luck!

No Mk84 *2 loadout under R-CFT, bug ? --- NOT bug and it exists
jaylw314 replied to western_JPN's topic in Bugs and Problems
I mean, sure, it's not really a bug, but it is super annoying -
LMAO, what the hell happened there??

You want the Move View Up/down/left/right/forward/back keybinds in the View Cockpit category. I think the defaults are RCtrl+RShift+numpad keys. These shift your view instead of just rotating them. It's also a good way to set your desired default head position, move your 'head' around with those keybinds, then press the keybind for 'Save Cockpit Angles' (typ) in the View Cockpit category to make it your default position

AFAIK, ILS does not show range to location unless it's co-located with a TACAN (or DME)
-
IIRC the TGP also cannot be in a tracking mode, e.g. PTRK or ATRK boxed. Ugh, I can't remember the pilot command, I think it's Auto-Acq press
-
I was just thinking about its positioning that, intuitively, it might cause some negative lift as well, but intuition appears wrong in this case

It wouldn't have been a good comparison to normal technique then FWIW it still seemed to float, just a tiny bit less. I half expected opening the brake to dramatically push you down into the runway, but it didn't feel that way.

Might want to check the RAZBAM discord, Notso has had some discussions about LGB procedures. To paraphrase a couple things, he talks about 20-50 degrees of turn off to avoid overflying the target, but not to turn back in, to avoid masking. I suppose it's not like the A-10 where you're expecting to hang around in an orbit afterwards. He also talked about immediately going to Guns AA mode to sweep in front of him once the bomb hit, among other things

True, but the steering from the rudders will probably be a lot less sensitive than the nosewheel at landing speeds! Then, of course, you need to remember to center the pedals when you let go of the paddle after landing in a crosswind, otherwise you'll go spearing off into the grass
-
Opening the brake during the roundout and flare only shortened my runs by a couple hundred feet, so not a massive difference or anything, but a little better
-
Just tried it, I was worried it would change the trim or pitch but it seemed to stay neutral during deployment. Cool!

IIRC it's in the AG LOAD page. Anything that would normally be set by ground crew should be up there, not PACS. CBU-87 should be affected by SPIN setting, but AFAIK currently is not. CBU-97 is not affected, since the body doesn't spin to disperse.

Here's my entry:

You need to use set an SRS Intercom hotkey, and allow SRS hotkeys. There is no in-cockpit intercom switch for SRS to read off of. Right now, SRS does not have a hot mic option for the Strike Eagle.
-
When the velocity vector stays stops moving up or down? There's also the G display in the HUD, since you don't have buttocks in the seat to feel it
-
LOL, I did have some tightening in personal areas watching, but I'm just teasing

ngl, was a little nervous seeing your aimpoint in the overrun area on final
