  2. My understanding is also that if you designate a point with the AG RDR, it will apply the elevation of the sequence point in PB17 of the radar. If it's far off from the designation point, it could have a different enough altitude to be a problem.
  3. A-10CII can't receive NDB's, it only has (or should have) ADF for UHF and VHF-FM.
  4. Stable is still on 2.8 when this issue was reported. It's fixed in 2.9 open beta
  5. Ah, no, I did play the track, but I missed the fact that the player audio was not playing It just reminded me a lot of trying to play TEW 3.0 a couple years ago and suddenly not having the AI JTAC and wingmen respond, but IIRC the player audio was still playing...
  6. Is there a reason to believe the problem is the radios failing vs the AI wingmen and JTAC becoming unresponsive? The latter have both been intermittent bugs I've experienced over the years in past updates, so it's not out of the realm of possibility
  7. It would be interesting to test if LOS for the AI JTAC actually matters, but again, not related to the bug at hand
  8. Not related to the bug, but with a human JTAC, the abort call could also be if the JTAC loses visual on the attacking aircraft (required for Type 1, desired for Type 2). I think in DCS, if you are not heading towards the designated target area, the AI JTAC will also call an abort

    ILS Landing

Mountains are a good reason to do the airport->outbound on ILS->procedure turn approach. That way you can stay mostly above the ILS path, which, by definition, shouldn't have a lot of obstacles. It's not perfect, but until we get actually useful ATC in DCS, it should work for most airports. No refunds if you happen to find that one little hill next to the ILS during your procedure turn, though

    CBU-97 burst height

Even if it existed, the A-10C is too slow for it to be an issue
  11. I'm pretty sure the only way to select a steerpoint by typing in the number of a waypoint is: On the AAP, make sure the STEER PT knob is in MSN (or MARK if you want to select a markpoint) Turn the PAGE knob to STEER. You'll get the STR INFO page on the CDU and/or MFCD Type the waypoint number (or mark point letter) you want, then press the OSB next to the +/- to select it as your current steerpoint
  12. I think the bug happens if you have JDAMs on either the wing or center pylons, even if they aren't in the current program, but I haven't cared to test this
  13. Easy, you can't. You need to type a lower sequence point in the scratchpad and press PB17 on the TPOD if you want to
  14. +1. Not only is the periphery bright, the NVG follows the gaze with eye-tracking, which is definitely not desired or realistic
  15. Known bug, according to RAZBAM discord--if you have JDAMs on the wings or center pylons, pressing XFER can make it disappear. workaround is to cycle through all the stations with NXT STA before transferring coordinates

    AOA in f15e

AOA is displayed in arbitrary "cockpit units" (CPU's), not degrees. If your AOA is about +20, your actual AOA is about 10 degrees IIRC

    ILS Landing

That depends entirely upon what you're using to measure your altitude. If you're using the altimeter, it then depends entirely on what your altimeter is set to. If it's set to QFE, you don't add the the airport altitude. If it's set to QNH, you do. If it's still set to 29.92, you have some skill issues
  18. Make sure you look in the "Special for Joystick" control layer for A-10CII. There are a number of bindings there helpful for binding non-TM Warthog throttles. In particular, the Left/Right Engine set to OFF needs to be deactivated to move the throttle out of the cutoff position and into idle/start, so that confusingly needs to be bound to something so you can release it.
  19. I can't think of any that don't other than the TWCS? Winwing, TM, Virpil and Saitek all do IIRC?

    ILS Landing

That's a good point, I forgot the AI ATC can give you that basic vector, I'm so used to it being useless Although 5 nm and 1500' is pretty tight for starting, I'd still think about going outbound first at 2500', especially if there's terrain in the area

    Steering

To clarify, you need to HOLD the NWS button on the stick to get high gain steering
  22. FWIW, if you have the WW Orion 2 throttle, you should have removable detents, since it doesn't make much sense for the A-10C. While not a game stopper, it makes formation flying annoying sometimes. A word of warning, the screw and nut that hold the detent in place REALLY want to fall into the slots in the base under the throttle arms. Almost impossible to get out unless you flip the throttle base upside down, and I think they're stainless steel so a magnetic pickup doesn't work well. You also need three hands to hold the nut in place while reinstalling the detent. Quick tip is to superglue the nut to the detent to make it MUCH easier to reinstall. Alternatively, you could reduce the X saturation so that full power comes at the afterburner detent, if you're okay with losing the throttle throw above it.
  23. Cockpit flow is cool, even if non-official. I think it's one of those things NASA has been doing research on as an alternative to written checklists in civilian aviation, and given that you don't have a regulatory agency breathing down your neck in DCS, it makes total sense for most sim pilots
  24. Could you just bind it to a ButtonX_OFF so that the Canopy Close command stays on?
  25. My wild speculation is that some of the signal lights themselves might be powered by some of the buses in a way that an interconnect failure would show up with the main gens but not the APU gen, but after trying to figure that out my head exploded so I just left it alone
