  1. Check lock0nfiles.com. They are a big improvement. http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=127&lid=614&title=F-15%20610gal%20FUEL%20TANK%20MODEL#dldetails
  2. Those are 4th gen fighters, by the way.
  3. Not gonna work. You were talking sh*t and I called you on it. Like GG with his Hornets flying at 80 AoA. Nothing personal, I just don't want to hear BS about these planes. There is either data or there isn't. We don't need to make things up.
  4. So it's safe from MiG-23s? Exactly my point. You assume the Raptor is the best climber with no basis in fact and say how great it is. Progress? You proved that it can't be counted on by speaking of top speed. There are many things about the Raptor that we do know and they are great things. Why talk about things that you don't know? At that point, why not just supercruise to safety? :smilewink: (Remember it has a cannon too.)
  5. I've seen the Hornet Walk and it was nowhere near 80 AoA. Of course I may not have seen the best Hornet Walk.
  6. Can you support that? And when the Raptor does this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5930540020698670370&q=russian+backflip&hl=en then we got something. WHY it would do that is another question.
  7. Certainly it ,means something. If a Raptor (or any other plane) finds itself in a position where it must flee, it matters a great deal. And if you say a Raptor would never get itself in that position, why does it carry Sidewinders? Based on what? Is climb data available?
  8. It had a range of 200nm in high speed intercept.
  9. Assuming that is true, how long could it out distance the Raptor until fuel became critical?
  10. Huh? That's the definition of supercruise. I've seen the top speed of the 22 listed at M 2.42. But, like any other info regarding the 22, who knows.
  11. But it looks pretty cool. I've was doing some aerobatics in a 737 earlier tonight. :pilotfly:
  12. Use the shortest scanning range you can and still be able to see the bandits. That is the only way to get any kind of separation between them. After that, locking four in tight formation just isn't easy. When you lock one twice it switches to an STT lock on that single bandit so try to move the TDC slightly or let the movement of the bandits change slightly.

  14. The notorious fas.org. Other sites give the same info, so I guess it's as accurate as we can get. I was understood the TEWS was actually the RWR for the F-15. The screen we see actually belongs to the TEWS system, but the RWR is a different system. I'd be interested to see the integration of Russian systems along these same lines.
  15. Not really a main point at all. It's only meant to be informative. Make whatever conclusions or tangents you want.
  16. The AN/ALQ-135 (TEWS) is an internally mounted active jamming system carried on the F-15C and F-15E designed to defeat electronic threats. It is comprised of Bands 1&2 (low-med freq), Band 3 (med-high freq), and (future) Band 1.5 (low-med freq). The system provides low band jamming capability for the F-15E, contributing to increased survivability against low band threats. The AN/ALQ-128 Electronic Warfare Warning Set (EWWS) is a countermeasures receiver set carried on the F-15C/E. The F-15's electronic warfare system provides both threat warning and automatic countermeasures against selected threats. The F-15's ALQ-135(V) internal countermeasures system acts on information from the Loral AN/ALR-56C and Magnavox AN/ALQ-128 radar warning suites and provides active jamming against enemy radar threats. The ALR-56C Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) detects a broad range of incoming radar signals, identifies and characterizes the probable source as a specific friend or threat, and alerts the aircrew through the TEWS display. It also manages companion AN/ALE-45 and AN/ALQ-135 countermeasures systems. An F-15 Tactical Electronic Warfare System (TEWS) Operational Assessment report for the ALR-56C RWR (Suite 1 Operational Flight Program - OFP) was released by AFOTEC in Mar 95. RWR deficiencies included the following areas: memory capacity, processor throughput, threat ambiguity resolution, and false alarms. Future RWR improvements requested via the F-15 OFP update process could not be met (Suite 4 and beyond) unless a new processor and memory capacity upgrade program was initiated. Specific RWR SORD requirements were not met in Suite 2&3 due to current processor/memory limitations in selected threat environments. The AN/ALE-45 Counter Measures Dispensing System (CMD) provides the capability of automatic or manual response to radar guided and infrared homing weapons. It will dispense a combination of chaff, flare, etc. payloads based upon the Operational Flight Program's evaluation.
  17. Can't believe there's only one mention of this one. I still have it installed. Great music.
  18. Could you provide some background in English as to who is memorialized and how it came to be in it's present state? The only English I saw was about restoration.
  19. Just in case anyone is confused by this, correctly stated, the target will have the same closure as the background behind it. It will not have zero speed relative to you. Someone running from you at the same velocity you are travelling would have zero speed relative to you and those seem to be filtered out as well.
  20. FB/PF Ju-88 Mistel is the winner of biggest explosion, hands down. Drop it and run like hell to get away.
  21. I've never used it, but folks always mention procaff http://www.stefan-kuhr.de/procaff/main.php3
  22. I'm not aware that it can be done.
  23. The truth, and I don't expect it from you.
  24. Really? When do you think it first appeared and when do you think it was fixed? OK, then just apply the question to fighters.
