I will upload my lua code for it when I get back home today.

Always had the card overclocked and did not seem to be an issue until the last few days. I am still on the 442.19 nvidia drivers.

I have sent a few logs via in game crash report but this log is the most recent. I did a repair before this and didnt help. It was working fine for weeks no issues. dcs.log-20200708-051049.zip

Thanks for the help. What actually ended up working was setting it to M163 Vulcan with a weight of 600. Now they both work!
-
I am new to this but I know that another server using CTLD has the Volcan M163 and M6 Linebacker as a spawnable crate. I have followed the code string examples in the .lua for CTLD and gave it a unique weight and tried several different names for the Volcan AAA and when the crate spawns it says it s a Vulcan AAA but then unpacking it becomes a tank. Not sure where I am going wrong. { weight = 395, desc = "Vulcan - AA", unit = "Vulcan M163", side = 2, cratesRequired = 1 }, also tried just placing the string under the ground forces section as: { weight = 395, desc = "Vulcan - AA", unit = "Vulcan M163", side = 2 }, same issue for M6 Linebacker

Ya the menu wheel in VR is weird . You cant select with head movement and you are basically floating in space with no cockpit around.
-
Do you know why I am always having to reload and do the Finish process every time I start vaicom? Not a big deal and if I ignore it everything seems to work as it should. Is the profile being updated constantly?

Realsimulator F-18CGRH is available for preorder
BMGZ06 replied to Supmua's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well I think I am going to have to get one just for the Viper since I love the plane but have ended up sticking with the Hornet and F14 since they do not feel lazy and I do not have to use any curves or deadzones with my VKB stick. I just found a video of the R3 and how much it actually moves and that seems pretty realistic and will add a lot to flying the F16. I think I will just get the standard F16 grip since it is available it looks like. I can see the one issue will be knowing the limits just like with new F16 pilots and how much pressure you need to apply for full deflection and getting max G etc. I have heard several F16 pilots say they basically end up going out there and just try to rip the stick off to be sure they get max performance.lol -

So their Force sensing really works with the F16 properly? That is the biggest issue I have had with the F16 in DCS is the fact that I have to run crazy negative curves with my VKB or Warthog stick to get the plane to respond and not feel like a lazy 747. So this keeps me from flying it at all. The negative curves then cause all sorts of issues with fine adjustment in flight with AAR. -
+1000 on this one. This is a must for the Huey. It would add so much to the experience and the Huey would likely sell way better if people could man the door guns and fly to coordinate attacks instead of relying on the random behavior of the AI gunners.
-
I would be interested as well since I just bought the Huey and using my warthog throttles is not really the greatest trying to control RPM and throttle for smooth landings etc. Please PM me if you will have one to sell. One thing I may have missed is how this can be calibrated. Is there any software for it?
-
I will do that tonight. One other thing I noticed is that every time I start vaicom I see that the reload and Finish buttons are yellow and prompting me to update. Is this just because it is being updated all the time or have I missed something in the setup?
-
I have tried this and it doesn't work. I hear the beeps but nothing happens. The other commands seem to work fine for radio and tacan tuning.
-
Looked through the manual but did not see anyway with AIRO to get Jester to change the ARC159 radio frequency. I can change it by using the Select command for the boat tanker, airfield etc I know. Also is there a way to command him to change to a specific preset channel like can be done with Baileys F18 Voiceattack profile? With his you can say radio 1/2 channel 2,3, 8 etc and it will change to it. Makes it easy to have two channels in SRS up when flying with my group for my flight frequency and the A2A, A2G or LSO. I can toggle between them both then quickly change channels on one radio if needed.

AAR probe light is a flood light now- pic inside

This is how it was months ago. It was fine then. Far more realistic. -
AAR probe light is a flood light now- pic inside
BMGZ06 replied to BMGZ06's topic in Bugs and Problems
So we either get a light that is barely as bright as a candle or one that looks like it is off of a Police Helo. -
Here are two pics from right behind the Tanker with and without the light on. Pretty unrealistic. Then there is the other issue with the Probe light not working with hot starts.

Ya this is pretty much dead on for me. Tried to embed it with the timestamp but it was not starting at the right place no matter what the copied link in youtube said. Was always starting 20 seconds before.

unable to reproduce Wings rip off with passing through wake turbulence
BMGZ06 replied to Talonx1's topic in Bugs and Problems
Had similar horrifying experience 23 years ago when I was at Embry Riddle in AZ doing my first solo in a 182N. An F16 from luke came up to practice touch and goes and ATC turned me too soon to final after he landed and the plane pitched hard up and to the left and I thought I was going to die. The plane totally recovered on its own since I was unsure of what to do. They always let those guys just come straight in to land and push other traffic downwind. They do not train you for this in basic flight.lol Ya they messed up and I had to go around with my instructor on the radio trying to help me out. So a pretty awesome first solo. The least the Viper pilot could have done was offer me a ride as consolation.:D -
Bailey's VoiceAttack Profiles (Added OH-58D Kiowa!)
BMGZ06 replied to Bailey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The only way currently is to use vaicom so you will have to live with the current method of fumbling through the menus. With vaicom you can use the Select command. You only need to say the name of the boat or airfield then say select and it tunes to that radio freq then you can call inbound. If you have vaicom along with Baileys profile then you will be covered for anything you need to do with voice. Baileys profile is better at changing radio channels between the 2 radios in the hornet for instance. Not sure why vaicom is so bad at it. The sample commands in the manual to change radio channels do not work for the f18 or the F14 at all. I have tried many times to get it working. However Vaicom makes it easy to talk to Jtac or AWACS most of the time and have an actual dialog with them so to speak without having to see the comms menu pop up at all. If you are lacking in funds then I am pretty sure you can get around $20+ at your local sperm bank for your deposit. That will pay for vaicom. -
Are you using the Avia-H cams? I left those in mine and with #40 springs I do feel a little detent or notch here and there through the throw range. It is not perfectly smooth but better than warthogs feel. I may change to the S cams.
-
Yup me too.Just tried with KC135MPRS and S3 KC130 and no lights until I get within 1/2 mile. Other aircraft's lights are visible from miles as bright fuzzy orbs. I am in VR as well. I made up a pitch black AAR mission and with F18 had to fly with NVG to get close to tanker then of course the Probe light is also broken. So had to refuel with NVG.:no_sad: There is a definite render distancing issue going on with lights in DCS in general. Runways, planes, all affected.
-
What springs and cams are you using? also have you adjusted the damper at all? I like the tension ramp up I get with mine with #40 springs and the cams it came with the AVIA-H. I then set the damper to what I liked and it feels great. I have no experience with the Virpil but I may get one when they are in stock again to try out. If I dont like it I know someone will buy it.
-
They charged $80 for shipping then? Ya shipping is expensive for VKB also. Just the stick shipped was $40 and is a damn site smaller and lighter than this throttle. But I got my stick in 6 days as well from China. It was worth it though given how much better the VKB is over the warthog. I use my switches on the warthog throttle all the time for AAR probe, landing gear, flaps, hook, AP, engine startup and APU. I then flcik the switches in the cockpit for other things when needed. It would be nice to have a glove or tracking that works with you bare hands in order to operate the cockpit. I know Varjo has something very close to it and you actually see your body in the HMD sitting in the cockpit and can operate things to some degree but I do not thin it works with DCS. Only another flight sim they use for marketing. It is $10k though and has a 87deg FOV but with 60PPD resolution. I will stick with the Reverb.lol
-
I have been eyeing this throttle for awhile and wondered how the company was to order from. I see the shipping time is pretty good. I may grab one since even in VR I still use my warthog switches and wish there were more. Flicking actual switches and buttons increases immersion for me rather than totally leaning on voiceattack and vaicom do execute most commands.
