Had to reinstall windows and then DCS of course. Anyway, When I call Marking moms and I know I have the correct frequency it says not authorized to land. The issue I am seeing in the VA windows is the 127.50 freq is tuned into both the carrier and Colt12. This is in the F18 Case 1 supercarrier mission. Never seen this happen before. I reset profile and keywords already and I checked my licenses are active. Does this with the tanker as well. There is a lot of weird stuff going on. No matter what F18 mission I start I ma over the water even cold start mission on carrier. VAICOMPRO.log

I tried all the settings as well and nothing. This performance hit came right after MS forced the 2004 update somehow. I have auto updates turned off. I am a bit pissed about that and I cant revert to 1909 as said due to no windows.old folder anymore. I am getting a new SSD today and going to install win 10 again and try to keep it from getting past 1909 hopefully. My other SSD is still on 1909 but that is the SSD I use for work only. Not enough room on it for DCS. Getting another 970 EVO PLUS today. My FPS was much higher and far less stutter with 1909. I see the normal 90fps in the game menus still and would see it over water or high alt or when I look straight up but now it never goes above 57fps and it only does that in fast spikes. Most of the time it is going from 20-40 no matter the settings I use.

no I have not. I will take a look at that. just crazy how no adjustment to SS in steamvr makes any difference. I ran the res down to 780 and still sits in the 40-50's with terrible stutters.

I have had my FPS cut in half with 2004. I tried reinstalling gpu drivers, turning off HPET, HAGS, Game mode, Increasing paging file to 32gb. Plus redoing nvidia settings again and even adjusting SS in steamvr to the min does not increase FPS at all. I was getting up to 90fps over water and high alt and had little to no stutters now it is a mess. I have HT turned off and rig is 9900ks at 5.1ghz with 32gb ram and 2080ti oc'd. Turning AF and shadows off makes give no increase either. IT used to make a big difference. I also disabled gamedvr again. No idea what I can do now. Not sure if reinstalling win 10 off my USB will work since I think it will just update to latest version right off. My win 10 USB has 1803 on it I think. 1909 was running great. I no longer have windows.old on my system for some reason. I don't remember deleting it after it updated a few days ago. I had updates to ask before installing then it just ignored that and installed 2004 and forced it. So is this just what MS is doing now? Anyone figure a way to make 2004 work after it killed performance?

I also noticed this slight blur in WMR and in DCS. My G1 is actually sharper in all areas. I already tried to deal with HP support and to say they are terrible is an understatement. No clue what they are talking about and just say I can send it in for replacement but they do not know when a replacement will be shipped. IT takes 7-10 days to evaluate my headset before they send anything out and that is if they have any to send. They wont send a replacement first anymore. Also was told if I wanted to return it that I will be charged restocking fee.lol HP is an awful company. Linue Tech Tips did their secret shopper again recently and they had an awful experience with HP as well. HP just doesn't care. I may sell my G2 and G1 and get an Index.

I am chasing the recent FPS drop i got after going to 461.40 driver. It screwed everything up and i went back to old driver with clean install and still no joy. Was getting 90fps over the water at start of F18 case I PG mission. Now getting no more than 53fp spikes and noticeable stutters. My system also forced a win 10 update that took a long time to install. I went as far as disabling HPET, dynamic ticks, and a bunch of other crap and nothing helps now. It was running smooth at 100% SS 3152 x 3086 res I think no MSAA or shadows. I may have to reinstall win 10

I was getting up to 90 fps in instant mission F18 cold and dark with 100%SS no MSAA no shadows with 16x AF before switching to 461.40. Then that got cut almost in half after. I tried to go back to my old driver and did a clean removal with DDU and reinstalled old driver and now it wont go above 63fps spikes in the same instant mission with same settings. My system also did update to latest win 10 release. It was forced and I could not stop it. Running HP G2 with 9900KS 5.1ghz 2080Ti FTW 3 oc'd and 32gb gskill royal and samsung 970 EVO

Seems like you are trying to rely on the ICLS too much. It is not a precision approach like normal ILS is. You need to have eyes on the ball and listen to the LSO, that is if Jello is not being shy on comms. If he is quiet then you are doing fine..normally. I have had some messed up traps where he was suspiciously silent.

So you have zero shimmer of lines or edges on the carrier deck or runways? I have a 2080ti as well and have run both an older driver and the newest. I am running 100% SS with 2x MSAA no shadows and in the pit there is no shimmering but outside on the carrier deck anything at a distance has a bit of a shimmer of Aliasing. Also set it at 16x AF. The deck crew all look slightly blurry unless i go to external view and get right up to them then they look fine with no shimmer or blur. I spoke to the absolutely useless HP tech support yesterday and the guy said that there is nothing they can do to improve it and they can get another headset out to me. THen wasted 5 more minutes of my time and said I have to send mine in first for eval then they would send another one out. Problem is they have none to send out and the normal eval time is 7-10 business days. Given the stock issues it could be weeks to get a replacement and that is only if they decide mine is faulty. I am considering returning it all together and sticking with my G1 which looks just as good. I took pics inside the lens and the colors look exactly the same as well. People say they see better colors but that is clearly a placebo effect of it being "new and improved". The pictures I took show zero difference in saturation or contrast. Everything still looks washed out like the G1.

I am see the same thing with my new g2 as well. I have run SS at 100 and up to 150% with no change. i also run 16x AF in game no MSAA and still no help. It does seem a bit blurry at distance as well. My reverb G1 does not have this issue with things at a distance beyond the pit when I run above settings.

Since I just ordered a G2 I will try these settings out when I finally get it. I have the Reverb G1 but I found I want the IPD adjustment and improved sweet spot along with the FOV mod to the G2 should make it an awesome upgrade.

I have to agree and night ops with the deck lights from more than .5 miles is non-existent still but so are the collision lights on tankers at the same distance. Lights dont pop up until .5 miles.

I ordered the combat panel late last night. I guess insomnia ha its advantages.lol I check the site everyday several times a day. They really need to have a notification function for people. I just hope it doesnt take more than a week to ship out. You could also join the HOTAS discord. Tonylin409 is a rep or works at the factory in China I am not totally sure, but he is on there periodically. There is supposed to be stock update on the 12th to let people know when things should be back in stock. It seems like they are making what they can and putting them up for sale as they finish products. I ordered mine last night at 2am PST and there was still some combat panels available then this morning they were gone. I am waiting for the take off panel though.

You guys really have hopes they will produce these in any meaningful numbers where you we do not have to sit on their site refreshing the page when they announce it will go up to try an d get one like now with those F18 panels? I would grab one of these for sure. I was on their site last night waiting for the panels to be in stock as they posted and only the combat panel went up and I wanted to order both panels at the same time. Then about an hour later they were bot out of stock. So either they are only making a few of these at a time or there are 100s of people hawking the site. Reminds me of the current challenge with buying ammo online. 1000s of rounds are sold out in minutes. Winwing and many other companies in this space seem to have economy of scale issues.

I am seeing the same issues with update and module download speeds. Maxed at 4.6mb/s then drop to nothing the back up. I sent in a ticket and got the old familiar response of " It is not our issue, it is you ISP" I am so sick of this crap response. I spoke to my ISP and it was elevated to upper level support. They said they do nothing to cap or slow speeds based on where you are trying to download a file from. They said if it is slow to that particular server then it is in fact on their end where the issue lays. I know a few other people scattered around the US that all have different ISPs and they are seeing the same issue since this last patch. A few weeks ago I updated and the speeds were above 50mb/s so please explain how the issue is with my ISP? What they suddenly said NOPE, NO MORE?

I am also seeing this issue in VR and before this update everything was smooth even with fast head movement unless there were a lot of AI assets near. This issue makes landing on the deck very difficult with a stutter every 10-20sec and I also get it when flying close to another plane either AI or player.

When are these slow downloads going to be addressed? It is NOT my system nor my connection. ED servers are the only ones I download from that are below 4mb/s. I download steam games at 50+ and Epic and Origin games at 60+.

Well the 3090 is also going to need a min of 1000w PSU from their tests since it was hammering their high end 850w to the max. So I would also have to buy a new PSU which sucks. I just do not see the 3090 being worth another $1500 for me at this point unless someone can show a 20fps improvement in a reverb so I never get a Dip into the 30's in areas near the ground and a lot of AI or in MP dogfights with several players. I hope it can provide that improvement. If it can I will buy it.

Just saw Linus Tech Tips review on the 3090 and in MS Flight Sim 2020 it only gave 14 fps more over a 2080ti in 4k and 6 over the 3080 due to CPU bottlenecks they said even with the fastest CPU 10900k for gaming. The improvement shrinks even more in 1440p so in 1080p it would be likely nothing. So it looks like it could be much the same in DCS. I doubt it is worth it to buy the 3090 for DCS since it is so CPU bound. Perhaps in VR it may change things with higher res headsets like the Reverb.

I will wait to see results with the 3080 TI and 3090 before buying. I may even wait for the next generation in 2 years but who knows. If the 3080 Ti FTW 3 Ultra boosts so that I can get solid 80+ FPS in VR with HP Reverb then I would jump on it but I just do not see that happening given DCS's engine optimization issues.

I will also say I noticed the same thing. I have not flown the f18 in weeks or done traps at all since about 2 updates ago. I noticed not only did engine sound change but the response feels slower and yes the F18 either floats or sinks like a stone. I practiced last night in my own carrier mission with a 20 knot boat speed and 10 knots over the angle like I used to use before. The plane just wants to float like mad in close and I used to be able to fly the AOA and slope where I could start adding power and still grab a 3 or 4 wire over the wires so i never got EGIW. The plane for sure gets some ground effect over the deck now. If that is how it is in real life then I am good with it and will just have to adjust. Muscle memory is all messed up now though.
