Really it wont work? How am I using 1909 with the G2 then? Use it every day.

Yes that is what I was thinking as well and I made a post about it in the DCS wish list subforum. Of course I am being shouted down by those that have no ability to see the benefit and do not want to fly the tanker because they think it would be boring. The freedom for mission planning would be huge. No more compromises of where to put tankers in relation to the mission objectives. You could simply call the tanker pilot and adjust the point to meet and make dynamic adjustments to alt, speed and direction. Not having to script the tankers is one less thing to worry about. Also the immersion factor would be much higher. Being able to occupy the boom and operate it would be fantastic as well but ED would really need to figure a way to code in the tanker tow physics like in real life. They are basically towing the planes along with them once hooked up and locked.

Anyone else have issues with the kneeboard popping up with random words? I find it sometimes triggers when in game ATC or AWACS talks. Especially when AWACS says "Hot". Saying AWACS or JTAC also closes the kneeboard.

I think if I said "I wish ED would send everyone a Free Puppy with every purchase of a module" there would be people saying how bad of an idea it is and that not everyone wants a puppy. Some of you are thinking way too hard about this.lol Also everyone thinks they don't want a puppy, until they get one in their hands.

Ya it would really add a lot to the sim for sure. I doubt making a tanker module is even on their list of things to consider. ED has already got way too much on their list. Looking at how long it takes to get a module ready for early access, it would likely be years until we saw one even if they said yes they are going to do it.

I would buy this if it ships to the US.

I definitely would not go into a public server of randos and expect anything but Tom Foolery and Shinnanigans. I am talking more for the organized groups on private servers that are actually trying to run legit ops.

Being able to take the controls of the various tanker planes or maybe even just one like the S3 and having basic in cockpit control to control the refueling process would be good for a start. But being a Boomer in VR would be fun on the KC's. It would definitely give a lot more reality to the missions if we could avoid using the pre-canned in game radio calls and talk to a real person and pilot to make last minute course deviations to accommodate the strike package. Being a boomer would be a blast. Being able to control the boom connection as well as having the physics of the "tanker tow" that happens in real life when connected to the boom. This would also make AAR a little easier for people to learn since they would not be constantly having to make small corrections. I know that the boomer does not always lock the toggles on the boom to the plane, but they can if conditions are right I guess. I am sure this wont be an easy thing to implement though. That is why this is the "wish" section. Oh and I want a Pony...

If only it had the ability to be a tanker to. It would be fun to be the tanker pilot for a change.

i have noticed the same thing and it also happens in mission sometimes but corrects itself after maybe a minute. I am running steamvr beta but the non public beta version since i was getting frequent crashes. I am using one of the other steamvr beta options. cant remember which and not at my PC now. It fixed the frequent steamvr crashes though.

I am running the 2.1.7 beta aviators and Sound module 2.26 and I noticed that some effects like wing fold in the F18 do not always work. I have to check and uncheck the box and sometimes restart sound module and aviators software for it to start working again. Then it will just randomly stop working. Other effects always work like gear and buffet, AB and fuel probe.

Because then you would be happy, and we can't have happy people around these parts.

A flyable A-6 with the ability to be the Bombardier also with other players just like the F14 will be a lot of fun.

I am going to have to test this as well. I have reprojection on in steamvr and 2080ti with 9900ks 5.1ghz. I reinstalled windows 10 and DCS of course and getting way smoother perf. I even turned on HT again and see no issues with it on. So I am wondering if peoples issues can be a result of needing to reinstall DCS. maybe after a few updates it starts to get pretty messy in the registry and DCS subfolders. After DCS has been updated a few times I notice that clearing shaders etc does nothing to help performance. I did also increase paging file to 32gb min and 64gb max. I still get random fps spikes below 35 but not often and the overall perf is way smoother now. The image quality is good but only for things close up. go much beyond 10-15ft and they start to get degraded looking. This is true in the Reverb G1 for me as well.

I want to see light sticks for night ops and ability to drive the boat. First thing im gonna do is see if I can parallel park it, then play bumper carriers.

So you are tilting it up as well. I tried it and dont notice much. I also got the FOV test software to see what FOV is. My Horizontal FOV seems normal at 98ish but the Vertical is only 88 and Mixed Reality TV on youtube did the test and he was getting well over 100 Vertical. No clue what the issue it on mine then. That could by why my sweet spot seems way to small.

Maybe if I am feeling like my life does not have enough pain already, I will update to 20H2 to see if it acts the same on a fresh win install. Right now I have DCS running too well on the G2 to F with it. I am on nvidia 456.71 driver right now. Scared to try a newer one.

I did install it. I had to spend a lot of time hunting around the forums and the website before I realized I had to install ver2.26 or whatever it is then it started to work. I had and older version. Then it allowed me to select the buttkicker option. I had 2.24 ver before and it worked fine.

I just got my G2 and have a G1 also. I had a good initial result but noticed the G2 was really not noticeably better than the G1 besides comfort. Sweet spot seems the same to me and so do colors. I took pics through the lens and they both look the same in color and clarity. Anyway. I had good FPS with 100% SS then my system updated to windows ver 20H2(2004). That destroyed everything. I tried the newest nvidia driver and it did nothing. Tried various settings in game and in steamvr and made zero difference. I finally realized I had to do the nasty, and reinstall everything. I did it yesterday and installed windows 10 Pro ver 1909 H2. Fired DCS up with the F18 and bang all my fps came back and way less stutter. So I kept at tweaking and now with motion vectoring on in steamvr the game runs so much smoother and I even turned on MSAA 2x and AF 16x with flat shadows in world and low in cockpit. Still running 100% steam SS. Sure there are spots where the FPS will drop off but it is not often. Just ran a mission with 4 AI in close combat and it ran great. Before it would hitch and stutter with FPS going all over the place. Long story short...you may want to look at reinstalling DCS or windows and DCS. If you have upgraded to windows 2004 it could be causing issues like mine.

After i just reinstalled windows and now the simshaker sound module and reactivated it. I am also using the simshaker for aviators and I can not select Sound (Buttkicker decives) in the services tab so the settings can not be adjusted for each aircraft. I can only turn them off and on. I was able to adjust them before the reinstall. It thinks I have a Jetseat and wants to use that only.

When you say you are focusing on one or the other, how are you doing that? I usually just set DCS and vrserver to high priority.

installed 1909 version today on a new ssd and everything is back to normal. I was hoping someone had figured out what is going on with 2004 to get back lost performance.

Looks like SUpercarrier did not install properly. I did a repair and it fixed the issues.
