This time there is alot of controls, and the hotas is pretty much key to learning the avionics. So I'm just going to map my whole set to the same/similar buttons as the A-10 hotas. Then I can just follow the HOTAS diagrams in the manual to learn things.

Thanks I might grab that high res one and replace the older roads. I installed A-10C a few days ago and the landscape looks improved anyway, now I'm actually thinking straight I guess it's probably not a good idea to mod it unless we audit all the buildings, roads, textures to see what has changed. If they have entirely new models or not as well.

Hi All, As new games come, I find the nvidia drivers don't tell it to use BOTH GPUs, until driver support adds a profile for that game (I have gtx 295) So I used this tool to fix it up and now get some better performance/fps. Here's what to do: 1. Create an nvidia profile for dcs.exe 2. Run the tool and export 3. Open the text file 4. Find black shark profile in the text 5. Copy everything between profile and endprofile (not including profile/endprofile) 6. Find dcs.exe profile 7. Replace contents of dcs.exe profile 8. Import the text file with the tool 9. You now have an nvidia profile with multi-gpu enable for dcs.exe The tool can be downloaded at http://www.geeks3d.com/20100528/manage-your-sli-profiles-with-nvidia-geforce-sli-profile-tool/ It's also good to make backups, since sometimes nvidia loses all my profiles grr.. Hi Mustang, First thing I do is package mods when I get them before installing :) I love modman it's so easy to test versions and take them on and off. Sorry I can't post the package it's too big, and I don't want to post some of your work to the lockonfiles or fileexchange. Just see the screenshots below and you can do it. 1. Create the mod, add the cdds as per the first screenshot. 2. Click the CFG button 3. Set it up like the second screenshot. 4. Do the same for FC2 - but change the graphics.cfg file instead of graphics_bs.cfg Cheers and thanks again for the roads, I will try the new one with more markings. ps do you think your mods will work in DCS: A-10C?

Very true. Maybe if they could at least provide a conversion tool for the final release it would help. They wouldn't have to work "out of the box", just be converted and tested to be effective.

I guess so, with only one aircraft its not so hard compared to FC2. Only problem is with re-installs and patches, having the profile meant I wouldn't lose it.

Of course :) Anything that doesn't I won't use. Their are some awesome gunpods out there that didn't work online as they change weapons, so I didn't end up keeping them. Almost everything you can find works online though.

Same problem here, I even tried putting the TGA texture files in temptextures. Then I launch su-25 or f-15 or su-27 quick start mission, and can't find any roads with lines on them. Same with black shark. Anyone who knows which mod conflicts, please post :) Too many to bother testing. I've been flying alot of ROF lately and loving it. Looking at Su-25T and KA-50, we have only got two advanced flight models with what we fly in DCS/FC2. The other FC2 jets can be flown with feet on the floor even. Every plane in ROF has an advanced flight model, that means almost 20 unique aircraft with great flight and making full use of those fancy rudder pedals some of us have. The aircraft modelling required is hugely more detailed than something like IL-2, and it would take months to model one if it was only a single individual, and only then comes the rest of the work to code the flight model. I'm very happy to pay $10 for one of these planes, it's much more worth it than the excessive $10 I was charged for a beer tonight :mad: Also something new to know, they have now bundled planes for anyone with ROF ICE version to pay $42 and get all of the planes for that price: http://riseofflight.com/en/store/superbundles For me it is my first guns-dogfight sim, as my IL-2 time was limited and mostly bombers, but I think now I am addicted :doh: What to do when A-10C comes out I don't know, somehow I will find time for both!

Hi All, These are the mods I'm using now for FC2 and DCS attached. Although the list is long, many of them are skins. Contrary to what some believe, you can run many many mods in DCS/FC2 without any performance degradation because they mostly just replace things that are already there. Of course it depends on the mod. And I think I will have to add more soon as Mustang never stops does he! :thumbup: Flaming Cliffs 2 DCS Page 1 DCS Page 2 Cheers

Thanks mate it looks good! I hear that leavu is banned from the 104th and many popular servers though, or they don't allow LUA export. I haven't been in DCS for a while, been adicted to rise of flight at the moment having some guns only action :) Will probably come back for dcs: a10 for the new fixed wing flight model

It shouldn't be in catalyst or windows settings. When mine overlapped the wrong way I fixed it by lua change. Sorry it's not working, can you post a photo to show the overlap? We may be misunderstanding the meaning of overlap - there will always be some parts of the cockpit at certain view angles on both screens.

It looks ok. For some reason it is displaying in the wrong order. Try call the top section bottom and the next one center. It may be the naming not the order that counts

If the lower one overlays the main, sounds like we can swap them. It writes them to the screen in the order they are in the file. So if we change it around like this: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('2 Screens zoom'); Description = 'Configuration with 2 non-identical monitors'; Viewports = { Center = { x = 1600; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1024; viewDx = 0; viewDy = -0.5; aspect = 1.875; }, Bottom = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0.3; aspect = 1.77777777777778; } } What are your normal screen res? What width do you have in options.lua? Does the above work?

You have to edit the monitor config lua file. Click on my user and check someprevious posts for some examples. And all on same computer you can't do it to a separate computer.

lol yes I did! Sorry all my torrents were in the one folder and I picked the wrong one. I found the torrent for "Great Planes" now but unfortunately there are no more seeders. Have a look around, if you find the Great Planes series of documentaries it's on of them. I also like the F-16 episode. It's a shame they didn't cover the su-25 or the sturmovik, they do cover alot of older planes. Cheers

Since you are using illumination flares, do you take the helmet mounted sight with you instead of the night vision helmet? I find I'm so used to using HMS that I can't target very well at night without it, but it's hard to see without night vision.. -

It definitely affects things, some of the old missions I made for myself don't work as expected. For example ships that previously shelled an enemy base no longer did it. Maybe Dragon can help, he had to update his mission pack to the new AI.
