I used to live a couple of miles of from Mildenhall. I went to every Air Fete since I was 2 years old. The Americans didn't annoy me a great deal, not to mention it was the one of the cheapest, biggest airshows around (flying display the length of Fairford but only £14) but the most incredible thing is that they drive on the right on the airbase and then they pull out onto the English lanes and start driving on the right in their massive American cars, mowing down every fiesta and micra in their path. I would go to Fairford but it's just too far, first and only time I went was in 2004. First and only time I went to Waddington was in 2004 also. I just stick to the airshow they have at Lowestoft and contend myself with the BBMF, Typhoon and Harrier's splashing into the sea.

Maybe they are fixing the inexplicable variations in framerate? -
lol, some guy who had only learned English in the last few weeks goes for a job interview at the BBC as a IT support guy. He gets pulled out of the waiting room and finds that he's being asked searching questions into the apple inc v apple corps lawsuit, only to realise he's broadcasting his thoughts to millions of people live on TV. :) http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/05/16/bbc.interview/index.html?section=cnn_latest The look on his face when he eventually realised was priceless :)

Hello protos, mr_nuts here :)

Next someone will say American's invented the car, combustion and the light bulb.
-
I bet it will never be done because I don't believe that someone who doesn't know text automatically wraps in these text fields so you don't need to hit return when the text reaches the edge of the field every time like this knows how to write a program or uses commas instead of periods making their comments almost entirely illegible compromising their positon on the use of 'English' furthermore I feel this post adds more to the thread than any other comment so far......... :D

I've got 2 gig of extremely fast RAM, no difference. A faster CPU and/or graphics will make more of a difference if you have 1Gb.
-
If you mean, more FPS in LO, then more RAM won't help.

I've always found it unusual that the way American aircraft displays are so utterly dull and boring. Give me the frecci tricolori over the thunderbirds. Give me a swiss f-18 over an American f-15.

Swear i've seen the name Mako_159th on another, unrelated forum.

Lock On is slowly but surely vanishing from the radar

It's a good thing. Lock On has run it's development course. It should be ditched in favor of somthing new and (hopefully) bug-free. -
LockOn Experiment: Maximum Image Quality (7900GTX)

Surely 32x AA would over-compensate any aliasing resulting in blurred edges? -
OT: Windows Vista RAM requirements

I don't understand the fuss. It's you consumers who buy Windows every time a new version comes out. It may seem like your hand is being forced, but it really is not. There are plenty of alternatives out there. I've had LO 1.02 running on Cedega/Slackware. -
Did it not ever strike you that the civ plane you were flying had rather different lift-enhancing wings?
-
Does that make sense. You'll switch to an alternative in a heartbeat, but your only real alternative blows? How can you expect to use Windows programs and Drivers natively on a different platform? A full-featured distro will come with everything you need, for free. Everything you want that runs on Windows will of course require a wrapper. Companies out there won't make their software for Linux until there is more of a shift towards it from individuals. You claim you're "stuck", but you're not really stuck at all. This is what makes the least sense about the 'M$' thing. So Microsoft is a cash cow, we all know that, it dosn't needed to be repeated. You think you're making some sort of activist statement? No you're not you 'tools'. Don't use Microsoft and you'll see how it can be tough for your commercial enterprises to function adequately. Then you'll realise what you had with Windows.
-
You're right, i'll never be as hip as you :)
-
Referring to Microsoft as M$ is not cool, hip, groovy or clever.

Why would a JAS-35 travelling at mach .98 be any louder than it travelling at mach .00001 at full afterburner? What I would like to see is reproduction of at least a semi-realistic sound engine, when you fire a rocket soalvo, it dosn't cut out the sound of the previous instance. Even with an improvement like you suggest Animalmother, the engine as it is would never be able to come near producing anything realistic.
