Well after a break from FC for more then 2 months I decided to use my Fighterstick for the game I bought it for. But there is a weird problem now. If I´m in a jet and I disengage the autoleveler (spelling?) then the jet will start to dive just like if I would push forward on the stick. The problem sometimes also occures after a dogfight. I already checked the trimming wheel on the stick itself and it is centered. I calibrated a dozen times by now and changed the USB port from onboard USB to an USB HUB and back again to no avail. I don't have this ghost input problem in F4AF and Steel Beasts Pro Pe :cry: . Anybody got some tips where to look?

This completely OT. But if there is one thing I really like about the Randi forums is that if you present a claim there they will keep on insisting you back your claim with credible evidence, and thats something I would like to see more on the FC forums. :(

Ruggbutt and Revvin thanks for the info. I think nay I know now I'm going to get the CH gear. The Fighterstick, Pro throttle and even the pedals. I'll have to save a bit of money before I'll be able to buy everything but you'll probably see me post on the Hangar forums in a couple of months asking n00b questions :)

Guy's thanks for the reactions. Frazer my wife would kill me if I bought the cougar with the FSSB R1 mod :icon_axe: . I just managed to buy Steel Beasts Pro Pe for a mere $125,- with these words: "but honey this isn't a game it's a SIM" :D So even if the Cougar is the worlds most sexy HOTAS out there it's a no go area. I use my HOTAS for more then just Flight Sims (see the above mentioned SIM) and I read that the Cougar is a Flight sim only stick.

I've been simming with my X45 now for over 3 years and daddy want's a new toy :p . My first reaction was to look for the TM Cougar but there seems to be way to much modding and money needed before the stick is "perfect", and then there is the problem with bad pots. So on to the CH line of gadgets. These things ain't cheap the Fighterstick USB and Pro Throttle USB will set me back 339 Euro, so I would like the opinion of people who had/have the X45 and the CH stick plus throttle. How do these two HOTAS compare? Cheers Raploc

CG I'm just asking IF there are more way's for vehicles do get damaged then there is at the moment. I don't expect that if a tank is hit that it'll get a fuel or oil leak or the driver will bump his head and that they have to stop for an asprin :icon_mrgr

Any news on the damage modelling of the vehicles? Or can I expect the same effects as in FC? I would love to see a turret pop after a penetrating hit :D

Swingkid this happend to me in the original SB demo 7 years ago. At that time I thought the M1 Abraham was THE tank in the world (thanks to Desert Storm and the tank games from Microprose). Now I know better :D . The tank in M1 tank platoon II was way to uber. I would not dare to question the armor values in SB Pro Pe. People with far more knowledge about armor and tanks then I will ever have came up with these numbers. The only minor "problems" I have with the sim are already identified by Esim and other users. I think the $125 are a bargain if you look at the content you are getting from this sim.:icon_supe

Well it does have some bugs. I've been killed by the "magic" mg bullit more then once. The AI gunners still try to aim at the center of mass even if only the turret is visible. And is it perfect? Nope it's GODLIKE!! I still remember the first time I played SB1, at that time I played Microprose Tank Platoon II a lot. So thinking nothing could touch me except the latest USSR Ultrasnort triplewarheaded AT missile I started the SB1 demo and........got my behind handed to me very very fast. My jaw hit the floor with the speed of sound. Excuse me!! I'm sitting here in the best friggin tank in the world and some smartass BMP just blew me away with it's stupid little missile. So I tried again and again until it hit me, use tactics you git! Don't go Rambo on those T-72's and BMP's like in MTPII in you ubertank. Well the rest is as they say history, I bought SB Gold and a few weeks ago SBProPe. If you like tank sims be sure to get this one.

Yep would pay for it. But here is the real question: would you pay 30 bucks more for 1.2 just to have AFM in the next new sim ( and I don't mean 1.2) from ED?? They need money to do this and it ain't going to be cheap.

A man thats nothing :p I've got my FPS meter showing me negative FPS and then shooting up to (sometimes) 200+. EVIL will probably tell you to put the affinity on one of cores.

I'll see your 2c and raise you a nickle :D Which install took you the smallest amount of time? My bet is LOMAC---> FC 1.1---->patch 1.12A. So there is a difference :cool:

Ok, I did get a reply from SF. I used the string and it works :D . Set the date to 2006-03-09 and FC asked for the disc and I did not have any problems. SF read the disc just fine. So please if you have the same problem like I did, follow Floyd's advice. It just might work. If not SF will get more info and fix it ( I really really really hope).

Ok thanks for the info, installing FC at the moment. Biggest question that pops into my mind: what about Black Shark?? This will sit ontop of LOMAC and FC, will we again see problems with SF??

Fudd, I'll fux up my new install with 1.12A and send the report. After I get the string I'll change the date on system so FC will ask for the disc. I'll get back asap.

:D Don't you worry, Ubisoft is very capable in damaging it's own "good" name all by it's self. The peeps at ED saved LOMAC nuf said.

@ Sleek at the moment patch 1.12A does not allow me to play FC, I could however use 1.12. @ Pilotasso I never had any problems with my Dual Core system and FC, that is up until patch 1.12A. Floyd thank you :icon_supe
