Ok I guess at the moment that most of you know the problem with patch 1.12a and as it seems to be dual core users. I could play the game with 1.12 so is there anybody out there who still has the 1.12 patch? And are you able to put it online? I'd rather live with the RWR bug then not playing FC at all. :cool:

Floyd is right. I again installed LOMAC, FC 1.1 and then 1.12a. I did some sort of test, so after i installed LOMAC I fired up the game, no problem there. After installing FC 1.1 I again started the game (now with SF), again no problems SF read the disc just fine. After patch 1.12a nada nothing! Edit typo

Does anybody have the "old" 1.12 patch. I've seem to have deleted it. Reinstalling with patch 1.12a does not solve the problem. So at the moment I'm not able to play FC.

Ok rolling back to 1.12. I cannot play with 1.12A anymore because SF somehow isn't able to read the disc.

Ditto here how did you fix it??

Just tested to see if this thing could happen to me to. I get the same problem if the cd is in the drive. :icon_evil . So this means I can play FC for a few more days and then I have to reinstall. Cool :mad: BS just went of the wish list for now.

Kindred I'm just yankin your chain:p No offence dude. And yes if you have something like C&Q on your system the patch could resolve some problems. Edit: (says to oneself read before you write.) The SisoftSandra remark wasn't a reaction on any of your posts. So Kindred what's the problem concerning my first post? In that post I stated that I didn't have any problems but thats maybe because I didn't have any C&Q software installed. And what has being a tweaker to do with MS?

I don't have the sli deluxe version but the a8n-e, it has the same recall feature. Well it didn't work when I messed up the timings on my memmory :cool: . I had to remove the battery and use the jumper to reset the BIOS.

Just tested in Sandra with my Asus A8N-E BIOS revision 1008: Dhrystones: 20001 Whetstones: 8850 So if I get the MSI board I'll get around 40000 and 18000 WOW :icon_supe

Ok I've got the X2 4200+ flavor, and absolutely no problems. But and here is a big but, I don't have Cool & Quiet enabled in my BIOS and I don't have the C&Q drivers installed in Windows. I figured better to be cool then quiet and yes the Cooler Master Stacker case does help to get very very cool :D . So there seems to be a link between C&Q and a lot of problems peeps are having.

Sorry not going to happen in LOMAC, Flaming Cliffs and me thinks Black Shark. Maybe some day just maybe :icon_jook

Well got my new system yesterday. been playing around with it a bit. Flaming Cliffs runs like a charm now :D I dont even have to manually set the affinity. Ok where can I find that it isn't being used then? I find that slapping a SAM to a plane is a very strange idea. I would like to know more about it.

Is there evidence that the Hawk thingy failed?

Well now I know absolutely for sure I will buy a dual-core. My Dad ordered a new system with a 3800+ X2 last weekend. We picked it up last night. Just one word came to my mind when I booted the little monster up: :icon_supe WOW!!!! Even with a lot of applications already installed it took no more then 20 seconds to boot windows. After playing around with Photoshop CS2 I was even more impressed.

Good to know. I'm planning on upgrading to an AMD 4200 X2 myself. I use my computer for more then just gaming, so the extra core will come in handy when I'm using Photoshop or Pinnacle.

It's a small company. Even smaller then ED. They also had to deliver Steel Beasts Professional to a few defence agencies first before they could start on Steel Beasts Pro PE and Steel Beasts 2 (the game). As for the complexity, I guess its about the same as LOMAC.
