  1. CH Pro pedals TM Warthog, no CH Manager software. CHPro pedals may not work plugged into USB ver. 3 - no problems.
  2. benefit of SSAA at this point seems to be machine specific. I get better frames now with SSAA 1.5 and that is even after high switched some settings from medium to high. I'm quite happy with the added frames. Went from avg of 40 (no vsynch) to solid 60 (with vsynch). Some have success with it and some not so much.
  3. Glad this was brought up by OP. I was having the same problem - quite distressing.
  4. Good point to look out for, thanks.
  5. Got mine about a week after Christmas. I was using the TIR hat clip, wasn't about to order the Pro clip. Pm'd Bartek, everything went smooth as far as sending it to USA. Packaging was excellent, the UTC is very slick looking. As far as use goes, twas way, way better than hat clip. Less jittery (I've got the ver4 receiver) than the hat clip. I was a little worried at first (my receiver fell apart last year, and is jury-rigged to the monitor). I was afraid that I would have to move the receiver more to my left. Turned out to be fine in the position it was in. I love it, one caveat that I can note. No on-off indication. Twice I have forgotten to turn it off, resulting in a re-charge. Bottom line........... get it.
  6. Thanks Capt' Orso, I ordered 3 (just in case)
  7. I've got 7700K, GTX 1060 6gig ram and 1980x1020 42" I was struggling with 40-50fps with alot of stuff on low and medium +horrible antiliasing. Just tried your settings on updated 2.2 and I almost fell out of my chair. I'm pushing 110-120 now. Not much shimmer and to be honest, graphics quite pleasant. It must be a fluke, hope it is still there next time I open up Open Alpha. *I must admit, this is in simple Check Ride mission, (i.e. no explosions or CBU's going off) but the stated 40 - 50 fps was in same type flight.
  8. Seems pretty easy to understand what QuiGon has stated. Bottom line - Whatever you are running, it will end up 2.5. I, myself, have always kept up with all three. When one is updated, usually a large portion is copied from one or more of the other two.
  9. I used to have a hobby that I loved, it got to being too expensive for me, so the inevitable was to move on and quit griping about it. Made life a lot simpler. It is true that the Hip doesn't need the new navigation tool.
  10. It is somewhat oversized/over-engineered :-) That may be, but I can well imagine your satisfaction. I remember decades ago when I accomplished making my own rudder pedals, they were strange yet beautiful to me. Quite functional too.
  11. It's easy... 1st - don't update anything yet. 2nd - download the reg file found in the post that grunf gave the link to. 3rd - merge the reg file that you downloaded from the link that grunf gave. 4th - start updating the versions you are running. Don't activate Mig 21 until all versions are updated The first version you update will ask to validate the Mig 21, don't allow activation (you will probably have to exit that dialogue box twice) The rest of the versions you have can be updated, but again don't allow the Mig 21 to be activated. Once you have updated all of you installed versions (not allowing the Mig 21 to be activated) THEN you can open a version up and activate the Mig 21, when you run the rest of your versions, you will probably find that they all have activated Mig 21's
  12. I suggest you dig up some YouTube videos (if you haven't already) and check out the Nevada map. It's true that DCS 2.0 is free but Nevada is the only map that will run on it at this time. Nevada is the playground for the next step in the simulator graphics and they have some things of the new engine in place and some of the those things have been activated. When it is finished, of course, it will be the only version and all existing maps will run in it, plus the upcoming '44 map. If you have hard drive space and like DCS and you got the cash, just get it.
  13. So why do we have the fish eye effect when turning towards co-pilots. I used to think it was the FOV, but after trying to adjust it to nullify the fish-eye effect, that's not the cause. I've learned after all these years to ignore it, but still....
  14. I didn't have this problem, but this might be the difference. After downloading update and the Viggen, I found I had to be somewhere else so shut DCS down. At same time I had just started having the task bar not autohiding (not related) so while I was gone I thought I would restart the computer to fix taskbar problem. Later when home again I started setting up my bindings before even starting to open the Viggen. I had no problem going to options and completely setting by buttons on Warthog. Maybe the reason I don't have the lockup problem is because I rebooted after update install.
  15. The most sensible post in this thread.... Kudos! (exempting moderator posts... of course)
  16. I stumbled into this thread this evening and painstakingly read thru 18 pages, and then had to leap to the last page (at the moment). I had hit my fill. It just goes to backing up that statement that some have a half-empty glass and some have a half-full glass. It's always been this way and apparently always will be.
  17. Ha!, I completely forgot you can do that. It is fun
  18. I had to reboot twice before I could remap my warthog joystick, The throttle unit worked 1st time. Sheesh, I thought my stick died.
  19. Just wait for the "new" Caucus map and be prepared. I just sort of wish we had been reminded of download sizes this time around. With the original NTTR map, one was prepared for download and could plan when to do it. Yet........ I can't wait to try this update out!
  20. Don't forget, we are talking 13 new airfields, here. On Wi-Fi internet, I started at 2:00 yesterday and should be done about Noon today drats, it wasn't noon, it finally unpacked files at 6:00 PM. But........ it runs good so far.
