The real F-5E could have its nose changed with the recce nose ( old model like the RF-5A one ). This operation took too much time, it was almost never performed. It is not possible to do the same with the RF-5E TigerEye ( long nose ).

At 16Min30 flying at 600kt and it looks slower than yours.

The A-37 is one of my prefered plane. I am flying the A320/330 and the sens of the speed looks very slow ( like an approach speed ). But you are the man and you should be right ! ok. Thx.

At what altitude/flight level ?

You can see the 450Kt speed feeling of the G-91R1 on MFS.

I did notice , watching some YT videos of the F-5E at about 500-600KT low level,the groundspeed looks slower. I am a real pilote and my feeling is the plane looks to be at about 200-250KT ! Is it a glitch ? It looks correct if you , at least, X2 the playback speed. Morever, the F5 is able to fly at M 1,64 ( clean), but I have never witnessed it at more than M 1,1 ( at any altitude ). Can you tell me at what maximum IAS ( or Mach ) have you ever reach ?

All the 4 pylons were wired for the AIM-9Bs on the R4 ( at least outer pylons for the R3 and Y )

The F-5E is a light fighter whom can beat all 3rd generation fighters,as well the 4th ones ( specially the JF17 ).

In real AN/ARC-164 radio, A is used to enter the active mode, i.e., anti-jamming, frequency hopping mode. T is used to receive Time-of-day, to sync the time, which is used for active mode. In DCS, T acts as 1, enabling to use the frequencies in 1xx MHz range, which can't be used on real radio (UHF only, 255-399MHz). I don't think A has any function.

All the F-5E used by the Navy ( Marines ) don t have a radar. Only those bought from Swiss are equipped.

The RF-5A , still has the 2x20mm guns and the ......gunsight.
