I'm curious. Why don't you like the mod I posted? It's a lot easier to read without changing the map much.

You found the Viper easy to learn? I've flown is so long in BMS that I forgot what it was like to first learn it. Did you learn and use all the weapons and systems? Maybe I can talk him into the Viper?

I wish he hadn't asked me. I think the Hornet is more complex but I hate to tell him what plane to fly. It could come back to bite me.

I have a friend who's new to DCS. The two planes he likes are the Hornet and Tank Killer. He's asking me which one he should buy. I told him both are complex and not the best choice for a first plane. He doesn't care. Give me your thoughts please.

My only thought is I hated Win 11. I guess i'm to used to Win 10. It's comfortable.

I just bought one from Maingear and i'm very happy with it. Top company and excellent workmanship. Falcon Northwest is another good company but pricey. Maingear is too. You know the old saying. You get what you pay for. I also had an Alienware and it was junk.

Using the mod I posted is a better choice.

I just started DCS since the patch came out and it's downloading the patch now. You should get the same thing.

I'm guessing WW is going to come out with a Warthog grip for the throttle since they put the A-10C AP on the base. Thanks

What's the first sign you're running out of ram? Stutters?

That's what I meant. I hope I like the spring tension it comes with. The spring kit is $50 and i'd hate to buy it and end up liking the springs that come in the stick. I just spent $2500 for a new system, $300 for a monitor, and $665 for this Winwing. My wallet if feeling kind of thin.

My computer is setup in my living room and the lighting doesn't work well with the hatclip. I tried it and it was frustrating. So, for me the Proclip was the answer.

The wire doesn't bother me. I already have a wire coming off my headphones. I just tape them together. If you have a wireless headphones I can understand not wanting the wire.

Do I need to run a profile? Can I just program it in DCS?

The reflectors are much more light sensitive than the Pro Clip. I can leave the blinds pulled back and let in the sun with the ProClip and it tracks perfect. The reflectors will not track well in the same condition. This applies to any lighting in the room. Not just sunlight.
