Hi All.

I have been playing around whit the settings in Nvidia Control Panel.

If i change the Multi/Display/Mixed GPU to Multi Display Performance

i get 9/10 whitout crash.

This is only for the Create Fast Mission and any airplane.

If i set "Start From" to runway it crash sometimes, airborn works 9/10 times for me, 10/10 whit the F15c.

GTX 980 lastes driver and 0.7 runtime.

Windows 7 or 10?

WORKAROUND FOUND!

All, after experimenting with it for 3 hours I have found a workaround for the DK2 crash problem. You simply need to run it in "Vista Compatibility" mode.

1) Right-click on DCS shortcut

2) Click on Properties

3) Go to compatibility tab

4) Select "Windows Vista" compatibility mode

First impressions?? I have all settings High (make sure that VSYNC is off!) and no judder at all in the base. As crisp as FlyInside FSX: Amazing!!

Let me know if it works for you.

Fixed for crash at "loading terrain" (Crashed 100% of the time at this point before)

Now crashes at end of loading sequence as game loads into cockpit aprx 75% of the time

BUT IT WORKS THE OTHER 25% OF THE TIME!!!!!!!! :):megalol:

Awesome find...was able to play and actually save a replay of the flight! You are getting major credit in my next video buddy!

I have all my settings on high and getting from 75-150 fps depending on where I'm looking. Will do more test flights this weekend.

This does seem more stable doing it this way. I do still crash at times when the mission has just about finished loading still though, but not as regular. Here's hope Wags can give use a quick fix if something as simple as changing this setting can improve the crashes. Maybe it narrows it down to what is causing it.

Edit: Just want to say it also stopped judder for me at airports. Now I only have to turn off shadows. I'm also using windows 7 64. Thanks!

It works . Thank You very, very, very much.

I only have the base content and couldn't load any mission for the SU-25T. Only some instant action was working but most of the times crashed while loading and always with a crash on exit.

Now it loads missions (not tried them all) and there is no crash on exit. Now I am ready for the next sale to b uy some juicy DLC's.

With Windows 10 and non steam version of the simulator.

I was able to be online (which never worked for me before) and was able to get about 90% success. It still crashed after around 4-5 flights, but still a lot better then before. Plus, it no longer crashes each time when you end an flight either so I can actually save my replays.

Great job!

It didn't CTD for me but i hoped this workaround will help to get rid of tracking lag and judder with everything on low... it didn't but i'm glad it's working for the rest of you.

You don't need everything on low if you have a half decent Pc. The only two settings to lower for free flight are Visibility to low and shadows off. You will have to upgrade your rig if you have something poor because Wags won't be able to fix that for you.

You made my day! Vista compatibility works for me too.

Usually I reach 150 FPS with GTX 970 (75 while on ground) with high settings.

What is the key to recenter the view? I think i am a little to small ;-)

Still the same for me, judder at 100frames, if not at 150 then i have judder.

I believe this is because they have re-written the drivers in 0.7 to work with the CV1 Oculus which has 2 individual screens rather than one screen across both eyes like the DK2. So each eyes view counts as 1 frame.

100fps = 50fps actual in the DK2.

150fps = 75fps actual in the DK2 which is the DK2s native refresh rate.. hence why you no longer get judder at 150/75fps.

Hope that made sense.

I have very bad judder still as well but only when the dk2 is within view of the camera. If I move out of range I have silky smooth head tracking (but then of course no positional tracking). Not sure if it is related to frame rate. I'll lower graphics settings to check (gtx 780).

Could others with high frame rates and judder test this camera theory and let me know what they find please.

I have found that the FPS performance very much dependent on the module I am using. Some modules get max FPS and 0 judder no matter where I am on the map. I see the grass, buildings far away, etc... But some other modules have judder even when I am far from bases or cities. The two modules: MIG-21 and UH-1 show very low performance, while almost all of the others (including KA-50 with it's large and complicated cockpit) are silky smooth.. I think developers need to optimize the low performing modules, or at least have an option in graphics settings to dial things down.
