Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Why does that not function in dcs blackshark 1? program issues?
Luigi Gorgonzola Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 It's simply not implemented. I'm not aware of any specific reasons, though.
Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 I hope there is a reason I'd like to be able to use that function, the possibilities of BS functioning with the Optics switch like that will be phanominal [sp?]
AlphaOneSix Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 The optics filters are there to help visibility under certain weather/atmospheric conditions. Those conditions don't exist in-game, so the filters would be a waste of development time to implement, since it would be purely cosmetic, and there are plenty of other higher priority items to implement, as well as actual bug fixes, etc. Basically I'm saying don't expect to ever see this implemented until the "atmospheric" engine of the game would make it worthwhile.
Luigi Gorgonzola Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Slightly OT - Sometimes I'm really surprised to see "sim pilot's greed" never ending. Heyho, we already have a cockpit with almost every buttton, switch, lever, gauge, etc. working. Out of the Box! No need to fetch/buy and install any add ons and stuff - just start the engines and fly... :) But maybe, this is the very reason for so many of us (including but not limited to me) continuously asking for more?
Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Well, I wouldn't mind having that Jammer switch working or is it a non functioning switch too? (or does it function?) "The switch on the top left of the front panal"
Boberro Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 It doesn't work, due to problems of modelling Russian ECM combined with ground units as it's been said long time ago :) I guess it is still valid. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Damn them, I wish they'd figuer that crap out cause I want to atleast be able to spoof something
sobek Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) Damn them, I wish they'd figuer that crap out cause I want to atleast be able to spoof something You won't even know when to spoof without a RWR. Also, i am pretty convinced that the modelled airframe doesn't have the capability. Edited February 23, 2012 by sobek corrected a brainfart Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 What does what mean? it was where my arrow in the picture pointed to the one with the flag
joey45 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 The HSI or the Atittude indecator? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 HSI why is my flag there even though I had it auto started the flag on the HSI is still there.
AlphaOneSix Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 There is no flag being shown on the HSI, so I will assume you mean the Attitude Indicator. Assigned pitch and bank steering not available flag. If no steering information is available, this red flag will be visible in the top left corner of the ADI. "Steering information" will never be available, so that flag (DIR) will always be there. This is how the real aircraft works as well. Steering commands are displayed on the HUD (in FD autopilot mode).
Kalrasha Cryton Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 oh I see now thank you will come up with more questions later that are not on the faq
BaD CrC Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 T..., and there are plenty of other higher priority items to implement, as well as actual bug fixes, etc. Lol, glad to hear that....:thumbup: Sorry, OT. --->[] https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

With that being said, I'm pretty disappointed with the rain drops not doing anything on my cockpit windshield. I'd loved to have the effect of raindrops being wiped away with wipers (makes a good spook flick too). But seriously, why haven't you implemented it in the new BS, ED??? I have a question regarding the P-51D: Is it going to use the engine from BS2 or A-10 or BS1? Or will it get an entirely new, CPU-effing engine? Pardon my French. WildBillKelsoe Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Why does that not function in dcs blackshark 1? program issues? I guess the shark we fly in the game is the first working prototype. 2 variants of the shark 50 were developed later. The Ka-50N (Noche=Night ops), and the Ka-50SH (Shhhhhh.. SHHHHHSSSSSHHH!!!!!... For the RuSSSHHHHIAAAN Navy) And for this feature to be made use of, we should have the night type of the shkval (dunno the name but in google,wiki,etc.. alot of shit about the ka-50 you don't find in the BS_FlightManual.pdf)...
