I found that youtube channel with two claimed "EDGE" videos. First has the same "old" Proyect 9 AltWolf video show the "old" military / professional maps, and the second, some small video with tracks of a oculus rift over ED NTTR nevada map. The Logo remember to Belsimtek logo and show in the videos join to Eagle Dinamics logo.

Just another commercial company and nothing to do with DCS, I am sure.

thats interesting:

Technical capabilities

MultiEDGE guarantees visualization with a constant frequency of 60 frames per second for terrain scenes in1920×1080 (FullHD) resolution. To do this, the equipment must meet the following requirements as minimum:

  • CPU: Intel i5 (4 cores)
  • RAM: 8Gb
  • VIDEO: Support of DirectX 11 (ATI 290x 2x crossfire or Nvidia 980 2x sli). If two graphics cards are used, it is important to provide a cooling system
  • SSD 128Gb to store a terrain database

seems to be the minimum for full details effects etc. at 60fps min.

I suspect that this doesn't include the rest of the simulation in terms of DCS.

It was an interesting read, I'll say that much :-)

However, I've said it before, dont expect anything linked to the "Professional" market to cone to the consumer versions.

The Engines and underlying code/technology is obviously present, but its already been noted that terrains and other items (ships, aircraft, etc) are likely IP for a company producing a Pro Platform.

None of the Content in those videos is representative of upcoming Modules or 3rd Party Modules.

They Are Simply Earlier Versions of EDGE running on Different Simulation platforms being used by other companies for training.

So dont go Posting DCS:KA-52, DCS:AV-8x, DCS: Corsica, DCS: Ft. Rucker.etc

These maps are Commercial Property belonging to other Companies.

The site boast DCS combat employment as some of its features ;)

Still means nothing to me.

MultiEDGE does not equal EDGE.

Yes sir For example in some of the screen shots, specifically the A-10s there is AGE placed where it shouldn't be ;)

I hope so too, there is a whole host of new models I would love to be able to be able to place myself. But we will have to wait and see. I could very well see it not being available in Alpha/Beta because of the way the models are added to the maps. But I know I personally will be pushing for atleast some of them to be added like that.

That we know of...

Well, IMHO, rebranding something before it is even released isn't particularly encouraging. So I hope not.

Well we dont know what this site is, it could be a commercial offering of the engine for the purpose of custom built simulator solutions... but like I said... we dont know what this is, and what its all about... but it does tie into DCS World somehow as the site suggests.
