QuiGon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Wait for Fridays Newsletter for an official announcement. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Ala13_ManOWar Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 I can already hit the buy button and get the thing, it's on the module manager in DCS, I don't think we have to wait, it's been released. Of course it is already available for purchase, but the OP asked for some kind of announcement/comment, for which he will probably have to wait untill Friday. fl0w Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I would like to personally congratulate OctopusG on their endeavors for being able to make this happen, ever since it was mod status. Great work! :)
Silver_Dragon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 About the I-16 type 24, was a old post in the forum. The team has on "shadows" some time ago, surely complete the module. Expected can give more info about them and your future projects on DCS. QuiGon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 (edited) I meant comments by people here. Weird we got a new module and nobody says a thing :D . S! Oh, alright then. I guess the lack of user comments is due to several reasons: - The I-16 is not a very popular aircraft (I think so at least). - There has been no announcement except it being mentioned with a single sentence in the changelog. - There is no english subforum for it yet. - The release has only happened a few minutes ago. Ala13_ManOWar Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 The I-16 is not a very popular aircraft (I think so at least).This. It's weird forums doesn't burn by people blaming ED for releasing such a module and blah blah  . Guess I caught it right in the minute it happened and they had no time for complains. S! Mr_sukebe Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Does feel like a slightly odd choice, when the primary opponents for it in game are going to completely out class it. Even if you remove MW50 from the 109 and 190, the K4 and Dora will be significantly faster and better armed. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Ala13_ManOWar Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 Started as just a mod at first, so it makes sense the author just modelled what he wanted to. S! norbot Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I wish the developers good luck. It's good to have another third-party developer in DCS. I'm just curious what their next project will be.

Silver_Dragon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 On your FB has a AN-2 Transport, a L-13 Glider to FSX & P3D, not bad see that AN-2 into DCS, or move to build more russian ww2 aircrafts. https://www.facebook.com/OctopusG-1475030196055201/ For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

norbot Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Who says they're doing another project? Nobody says they have a new project. It's just common that you do not stick to a module once you've developed one. You earn money with one module. With several modules you earn more money. :D
AeriaGloria Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 About competing with the other modules that are late war. I heard a discussion of Yo-Yo saying it would have a huge advantage in a turning fight because of the lift coefficient Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

Silver_Dragon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Remember Mig-21Bis, Gazelle and other start as MODs... For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
QuiGon Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Remember Mig-21Bis, Gazelle and other start as MODs... I didn't say it never happaned :D Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
FoxAlfa Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I guess they will gauge how the sales for the DCS go VS sales for FSX/P3D, and hopeful decide to port over the AN-2. I would love to have Anushka in DCS... ------- All the people keep asking for capabilities to be modelled.... I want the limitations to be modelled.... limitations make for realistic simulation.
