VFA41_Hedgehog Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 Since release of Litening Pod, I find that I have to dump fuel to nearly empty to get below trap weight with only 2x AIM-9, 2x AIM-120, and pod aboard. So I did some testing. Findings: 1. Refueling/re-arming plane to a certain weight (33,000 lbs) results in the CHECKLIST page showing more than 4000 lbs above that weight (over 37,000 lbs). 2. Adding/removing the Litening pod does not change aircraft weight on the CHECKLIST page. VFA-41 Black Aces www.vfa-41.com
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 10, 2019 ED Team Posted August 10, 2019 Hi VFA41_Hedgehog the weight discrepancies are being investigated at the moment thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? wrl11 Posted August 10, 2019 Posted August 10, 2019 This was funny the first time, I was dumping fuel to get under weight and realized if I dumped all of my fuel I would still be overweight! Has anyone noticed if the game is modeling you being overweight or is the weight number in the display just off? With this bug I have landed on the carrier at 38,000 lbs and have had no problems. .
Opalias Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Is this also election the FPAS page? Some of the speeds, especially the best climb speeds seem to me off too. At least from the values I remember.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 23, 2019 ED Team Posted September 23, 2019 It is reported, for now the weight that shows in the rearm window on the ground is more accurate. Svend_Dellepude Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Could I be right in assuming that the FCS G-limiter is also affected by this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 24, 2019 ED Team Posted September 24, 2019 Could I be right in assuming that the FCS G-limiter is also affected by this? I am not sure, but would assume so. Hopefully we will see a fix in due course. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? CoBlue Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) It is reported, for now the weight that shows in the rearm window on the ground is more accurate. This weight bug should have been prioritized, it's effecting other airplanes too like F-14. We are flying Case 1-3 at much higher speeds, the airplanes "thinks" it's to heavy, it effects available G's etc. When?? it's been soon 3 months & counting.... Mnemonic Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 I'm joining to the request, please elevate this bug and fix it guys! As CoBlue mentioned it affects not only F/A-18 but F-14 too.
bkthunder Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Has there been any development on this? Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s
fat creason Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 This bug is cross-confirmed on the F-14. We can see it in our code running in debug mode, DCS returns the mass of the aircraft differently depending on where it spawns. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245331&page=6 Systems Engineer & FM Modeler Heatblur Simulations
SickSidewinder9 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Bump because has this ever been fixed? I was Googling max landing weight and also found this thread and was subsequently unable to find anything stating if it had been fixed.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 2, 2023 ED Team Posted February 2, 2023 this was resolved a long time ago, just the thread has not been updated. if you still think there is an issue please make a new thread with a track replay and any evidence you have thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
