Prophet Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I will have to look to see if I can find where it is, but if someone finds it before me please post. The problem is similar to LOMAC. The center of you view is not the center of the HMS. So when you zoom in, you end up loosing the HMS circle. In LOMAC you could adjust this in one of the view config files.
Legolasindar Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Same problem for me. I think this is for resolution, diferent resolutions change center, similar problem look in ArmA with optics, for example mildot optics is not correct adjusted for the deformation of image in diferents resolutions. Prophet Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 In LOMAC almost all planes had a 9deg offset, which you just changed to 0 and it fixed it. My computer is down due to my i7 build, so I wont be able to look until I have it up and running again.
Legolasindar Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 ¿How change this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Cavallers del Cel - Comunintat Catalana de Simulació http://www.cavallersdelcel.cat
Boberro Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Yep answer would be nice.... I need it too Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
ED Team Alex Okean Posted December 5, 2008 ED Team Posted December 5, 2008 Why we make it : to easy target designation ( with this vertical shift shkval moving directly to HUD center in default view) so if you don't like it : Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Devices_specs\Helmet.lua find v_angle_shift = math.rad(11) and change to v_angle_shift = 0 --math.rad(11) do the same action for Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\PADLOCK\PADLOCK_device.lua (or change 11 to your own number) NOTE: track reproduceability will be broken.
Boberro Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Thx! Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Legolasindar Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Thanks, but, ¿and solution without track problem? ¿This correct in western version? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Cavallers del Cel - Comunintat Catalana de Simulació http://www.cavallersdelcel.cat
EvilBivol-1 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 ¿This correct in western version? No, because it isn't wrong. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
Legolasindar Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I understand this no run correct. But its this run correct with you intention, i suggest modify this in future patchs, no have very logical HMS no centered in the screen, in my opinion. RichardG Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) I have western version, and it is wrong. HMS target recticle is too high. What is the "track reproduceability" that is broken with the fix? Do you mean the mission replay? Edited December 28, 2008 by RichardG

Slayer Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 The reason ED made it like that is because it is like this on the real thing, the eyepiece goes exactly where they put it. What the logic for in reality is I don't know but I'm sure theres a reason. Look around the internet for pictures you will see what I mean. 71st_Mastiff Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 :smilewink: The problem the way they set it up is we zoom in to look out further and the eye piece is gone, now we only have a single monitor display not stereo monitor display. What the logic for in reality is I don't know but I'm sure theres a reason. Look around the internet for pictures you will see what I mean. The thing is, the real pilot can centre it on his view just by looking up, or by staying focused on the same point and tilting his head down just a little bit. Otherwise it stays out of the way.
Snacko Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Hmm.. Had anybody else had problems getting this to work? I made the changes to both files and tested in Singleplayer and also Multiplayer and neither worked. Also test zooming in with and without the Helmet sight with same results. Why we make it : to easy target designation ( with this vertical shift shkval moving directly to HUD center in default view) so if you don't like it : Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Devices_specs\Helmet.lua find v_angle_shift = math.rad(11) and change to v_angle_shift = 0 --math.rad(11) do the same action for Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\PADLOCK\PADLOCK_device.lua (or change 11 to your own number) NOTE: track reproduceability will be broken. Boberro Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 For me it does work perfectly. Perhaps you've done it not correctly. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Snacko Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Yes, I thought maybe I did something wrong, but I don't think so. I am a programmer and have made changes like this before to BS and also Lockon, so I know how to do it, and I did it exactly like it says here, but it didn't work. So, that confuses me...
