Hi everyone, Now that the new S-3B model has been released (albeit in a potentially bugged state), would it be possible for the S-3B's weapons to be corrected, as well as to add some others that are accurate for it (ignoring ASW specific stores such as torpedoes, sonobuoys and mines, as those require additional core functionality in order to work). The model we currently have depicts the S-3B as it was pre-1998 (i.e with AN/ASQ-81 MAD boom and all sonobuoy ports still present, from 1998 onwards the boom was deleted and at least most of the sonobuoy ports were blanked over as its role switched away from ASW). Currently the S-3B has the following stores available: 300 USG drop tank Mk 82 500-lb LDGP Mk 84 2000-lb LDGP Mk 20 Rockeye II AGM-65D AGM-65K AGM-84A Harpoon IP AGM-84E SLAM If the S-3B is to receive Maverick (which was post 2002 according to this, the same goes for SLAM), it should have the AGM-65F, not AGM-65D or K, neither of which is used by the USN. The SLAM should also use the AN/AWW-13 data link pod (EDIT: seeing as cooperative engagement capability isn't currently supported). It should also have ADM-141A TALD available, which was utilised in the 1991 Gulf War. These are mounted on TERs on the wing stations, but I'm not sure if it can equip a total of 2, 4 or the full 6. The Harpoon variant it should have is AGM-84D Harpoon Block 1C (as with the Hornet), it's probably still compatible with the AGM-84A, but the D is more appropriate (and has a far higher-quality model).

Hi everyone, While there's a couple of threads already about Harpoon launch issues, these pertain to ships that shouldn't be firing Harpoon in the first place and don't have launchers for Harpoon. However, the same doesn't apply to FFG 7s and their Mk 13 Mod 4 GMLS, which should be perfectly capable of launching Harpoon. Unfortunately, it seems that sometimes Harpoon will explode almost immediately upon launch, doing significant damage to the ship and destroying the launcher. Unfortunately, I can't quite see what's going on - there's a miniature SM-1 floating on the launcher, that remains present after the launcher is destroyed, perhaps the missile is colliding into that? The only clipping I can see is of the folding wings and fins. OHP_RGM-84_LaunchBug_SlowMo_Ahead.trk OHP_RGM-84_LaunchBug_SlowMo_Rear.trk OHP_RGM-84_LaunchBug.trk

I noticed it is possible to select R/BL mode with no target selected. This seems to contradict what's stated in the manual and Chuck's Guide. Additionally, if R/BL is selected before having a TGT, when undesignate, the mode is changed back to BOL, but only for the selected station. Even more puzzling if you observe that when R/BL is selected for the first time, the indication INV TGT is displayed, possibly indicating that you need a designation first. However, later on, if you undesignate and select R/BL again, the last TGT seems to be remembered, IN RNG is displayed and the target is displayed in the HSI. If this is a feature and the target is persisted to the missile's memory after undesignate, why changing mode back to BOL? Is this correct behavior? Doesn't seem very consistent as it is right now. agm84d_mode.trk

Hi everyone, Very pleased that missiles now appear on the Mk 13 Mod 4 GMLS of the FFG 7, though there is a minor bug - the RGM-84D that appears on the launcher is misaligned (too far backwards and possibly 180° rotated, the former is obviously more what I'm after in this report). Note that DCS depicts an exercise shot with the red nose, whereas this depicts a war shot with a grey nose (as seen with the AGM-84D in DCS). Note how the radar altimeter is also faces towards the left, in DCS, it faces the right. Mk13GMLS_RGM-84D_misaligned.trk

Hi everyone, Super minor one - the smoke produced by the boosters of RGM-84D and RGM-109C missiles should be increased. At the moment they produce a fairly thin amount of white smoke. IRL, both boosters produce significant amounts of smoke (which should have a yellow tinge to it for the RGM-84). RGM-84: RGM-109: There's a few very minor issues with the Tomahawk launches, which, while not the subject of this thread, I will list below: RGM-109_booster_smoke.trk RGM-84_booster_smoke.trk

Hi everyone, Currently the AGM-84A Harpoon Block 1A pops up to about 1100-1200 ft. According to designation systems however, the missile performs a steep climb to ~5,900 ft before diving on the target: http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-84.html I'm unsure if this also applies to other Harpoon variants (namely the xGM-84D Harpoon Block IC) as designation systems specifically references the xGM-84A. Hello, I shall preface this with the fact that my tacview is installed incorrectly so unfortunately I don't have a tacview of the current instance of this issue, however I have an old one. I had not made a track file as this was multiplayer and I didn't think to. But I still have recordings of it happening. The Issue: Some harpoons fired will simply climb until they kill themselves at 50,000 or higher. Current record of the two harpoons I've witnessed doing this is 66,000 feet. This all occurred on the Syria at War server on multiplayer, Syria being the map. However I should point out I have experienced this bug once prior on the Persian Gulf map as well on Persian Gulf at War, so map doesn't seem to be relevant to the bug. Process: What I did was I loaded up two harpoons on the 2 and 8 rack pylons and I flew off the carrier. Once airborne I began timing out the Harpoons on the stores page and I activated the SEA radar to find my target, which I did and locked onto successfully. I switched the Harpoons to the R/BOL mode and they successfully displayed the target information I was wanting, I set them both to fly at medium altitude with a skim setting for the terminal. Both missiles read the same information. I then launched from 60nm at a broadside stationary destroyer. Pylon 2's missile proceeded to pull up and climb to about 53,000 feet before its engine cut off, whereas pylon 8's missile flew properly at 15,000 feet for the journey and struck the target dead on. The video is unlisted on my account for you to see. I do not have any better way of providing evidence of it happening and unfortunately I had pressed the record button too late to demonstrate my own cockpit footage. However I hope that my description of what I had done should assist in figuring out the issue. DCS Harpoon Bug Video.zip.acmi

Hi everyone, Possibly the most minor bug report I've ever made, barely worth reporting probably, but hey saving a track and writing these takes very little time so what's there to lose? Anyway, the animations for the control surfaces of the RGM-84D Harpoon appear to be inverted, deflecting to pitch down when the missile should be pitching up and vice versa. I'm not sure if this also applies to yaw (the AI will only fire missiles directly at targets so heading corrections are usually minimised) and checking the model viewer, the animations aren't set up for roll. BOL mode, UFC BRG defined by heading readed from HSI on waypoint where ship is staticly located. AGM-84D shortly after parameters typed in, missile will fly on TRUE heading. on HSI the line was dipalyed as the BRG was MAG value. So the is TRUE typed in UFC (missile will fly) but HSI display missile line of flight in MAG heading. Manual says: "Flight Bearing (BRG): (BOL mode only). As with the SRCH function, the player will select the BRG option on the UFC. The magnetic or true bearing relative to ownship that the Harpoon will launch along." My additional question than is which heading AGM-84D uses, or how to switch for missile, where? AGM-84D-BUG.trk

Hi everyone, This is probably in the wrong place, but I wanted to bring up something regarding our new La Combattante IIa (finally, a ship from western Europe!). At the moment the La Combattante IIa in DCS is outfitted with Harpoon (though is still erroneously calling them AGM-84S EDIT: Not any more, it's finally been renamed to RGM-84D), but is firing them from launchers for the MM38 Exocet (the ribbed, box launchers). AFAIK Harpoon should be launched from the Mk 140/141 launcher (which has cylindrical tubes), as seen on our current Ticonderoga class. Another thing reinforcing this is that the ship is actually a 90s German Type-148 Tiger-class (owing to the radar fit, ESM antennas and decoy launchers), these ships only ever were equipped with the MM38 Exocet Block 1, not any version of the Harpoon. But even as a La Combattante IIa (which it technically isn't) - the only ships fitted with Harpoons out of our current liveries are the Plotarchis Vlachavas (P74 Vlachavas) and Plotarchis Maridakis (P75 Maridakis) and these ships are fitted with 2x2 Mk 140/141 launchers, not the Exocet launchers we see in-game. For comparison: Hellenic La Combattante IIa P72 Votsis firing an MM38 Exocet (presumably a Block 1). Note that the launchers are identical to those seen on our La Combattante IIa in DCS. Compared with: Hellenic La Combattante IIa P75 Maridakis with 2x2 Mk 140/141 launchers, for RGM-84 Harpoon (most likely RGM-84D).
