You may have seen some of the recent videos from my group when flying this mission. A mission we call "Into the Jungle". This is a MP Vietnam era mission using period proper aircraft on the Marianas Map. The mission has a focus on eliminating randomly generated VC troops in and around the lake area on the southern part of the Marianas map. The mission highlights the OH-6A Cayuse and A-4 Skyhawk and was originally put together in preparation for the F-4E (which is also in the mission). Also included are Hueys and F5s. I have been asked to post this mission from some of the folks who have watched the videos. I normally don't post missions with mods in them so be aware, this mission requires a few. You could always modify the mission and exclude anything you don't want, I suppose. I propose some small improvements to ME that are easy to implement and would add a lot of value for users. General QOL Option to leave values in waypoint options blank to be populated with value from earlier waypoints. This would allow altitude/speed of a whole route to be changed with a few clicks, instead of needing to edit every waypoint Better randomization options All editor fields that accept numbers should accept basic syntax for random min-max between two numbers, so that airspeed, altitude, timed conditions, etc. could easily be randomized by typing in a range instead of single value All editor fields that accept numbers should also accept variables / flags as well as simple equations (f.e.: varA*varB-varC) Random placement circle option for every asset and waypoint (would choose position randomly on mission start within defined radius) Multiple possible routes per group within the UI, without scripting (f.e. option to create "dummy-objects" and make a route for them and allow proper units to switch to those routes by advanced "switch waypoint logic" with probability option to have multiple possible paths Nested mission files / smart dependencies Ability to open a mission file in another mission as "smart dependency" without hard merging. This would allows mission designers to make variations of missions based on template missions that could be edited later and thereby update all missions that use said template. A template could f.e. hold most AI and static objects, where the "active" files could hold setups for different player aircraft, friendly AI, additional AI for balancing or simply different weather and time of day... If users want to edit assets from the template file, the editor would load that file as active template

So i recently wiped my ssd, and reinstalled windows for the launch of msfs24, but after that DCS lost all my bindings, so i thought why not do a fresh install of DCS too. But never got round to rebinding my controls till the new patch, as i wanted to fly Arctic thunder, and try the F5. So yesterday, i try the F5, Instant Action, takeoff from Afghanistan, an my rudders were reversed and i went off and hit another plane, but on impact game crashed. Restart, try again, halfway down runway, game crashes to desktop, with no error, again. Then i move onto Arctic thunder by BD, which ive been having an issue with, outlined here:- But as mentioned in the thread, if i restart the mission, it works, but as i was taxiing to rw, i just got another crash to desktop, no message. So now i have no idea what is happening. Ive attached logs (from save games, let me know if theyre not the right ones). Systems full vanilla, no mods cef_log.log dcs.log dcs.log.old

I want to start a mission on air or ground at random position, altitude and heading. How can I spawn a non-AI unit like player/client using MOOSE?

A new mission is available on the users files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315288/ Iran and China have entered an alliance of mutual support which has bolstered Iran's influence in the Persian Gulf. As a result tensions between this alliance and the US and Europe escalated to the point of war. This mission is set early in the conflict and involves providing CAP for ground attack flights. Fly a F-16C 4 ship armed for air to air into Iran and prevent red fighters from interfering with blue strike groups. Red forces are randomized as are some blue forces for replayability. DCS version 2.5.6 (stable) Please report any issue or bugs to my by PM, thanks.

Here is a mission with a 3000ft radius, yet every one of the 16 cruise missiles hits the same spot on the ground. Whatever 'random' position generator within the radius function you're using is not working at all. This means it's impossible to shell a large area with cruise missiles as they will only ever hit the same pin point position. Ticon.miz

As of late August, any mission either from mission menu or the campaign menu will randomly end to the debriefing screen with no cause. Can be flying around casually, and poof! Debriefing screen. Does not appear to be confined to any one module as its occurred in every aircraft ice attempted to fly. I have Uninstalled and re-installed DCS, removed all mods, and checked game file integrity via steam, no resolution so far. Issue presents in both open beta and stable release versions. Any tips or info would be appreciated.
