Good day to all, Want ask for help or recommendation, I use for playing DCS PC VR Gigabyte 3080 10GB Overclock Full system specs: i7 12700K overclock 5Ghz + Gigabyte RTX3080 10GB OC + RAM32GB 4100Mhz + M.2SSD + Oculus Quest 2 with original Link Cable Down below my game settings screenshoots, actually i can play with this settings almost normal, but in multiplayer some maps with more players i have big frame drops even empty areas like sand in Syria map. I saw some posts about DCS use a lot of VRAM, that why im start thinking maybe need change my GPU to RTX3090 24GB, but moste important question - Is it help me increse FPS and stable work, if it is just incres 3FPS that is nothing and i think it is just spend money, like everyone know now PC detail is it deficite and cost expensives like never that why question is REALY NEED CHANGE GPU TO 3090??? Also read somewhere about DCS soon change engine to "VULKAN" did some one know is it help increse stability and when they plan release it? Second question - if i leave my 3080 10GB, but will change my Quest 2 to Valve Index, is someone know DCS work better with Index than Quest 2, becasue Index is created special for PC VR Gaming, but Quest primary is Aadroid Mobile Games, PC VR is just a option and i think it is on still beta version. Maybe GPU no need to much resurces work with Index and can make nice good quality Picture, LIKE Quest 2 need more reserses to make nice picture. I don't know that just think about that, and that why I ask about help with that maybe someone had experiance with that, becasue i don't want spend lot of money and results will be the same. nullnull

I've recently received my 3080, so naturally I did some testing on how far I can push VR DCS wrt to settings. The results are very promising but mixed. It seems that another planes (even stationary ones, like on the Caucasus free flight mission, stationed at Senakhi-Kolki) can tank the fps regardless of hardware used. There are other strange drops in really strange places, like for example when flying upside down, or looking to the floor of the jet at the stick's base (inconsistent). What's more interesting it turns out that the thing tanking frames on the supercarrier isn't the supercarrier itself, but the models on it, which you can see later in the video. Here you can find a recording of my flight with fpsVR graph at the bottom. Video contains both the Caucasus and the Persian Gulf maps, on the later I'm launching from Supercarrier. The audio is in Polish - it is a recording of a twitch stream I did for my friends playing DCS. You can ignore it, although a follow would be much appreciated, thanks! The important part is that you can see the fps, the CPU and GPU usage and frametimes. I was using Speed of Heat's conversion of Kegetys shader mod, IC - compatible. No other mods. System specs for this video: i7-9700k @ stock on a z390 Aorus Elite board 32GB G.Skill Trident-Z RGB RAM 3200 MHz @ 3600 GeForce RTX 3080 MSI Gaming X Trio Valve Index VR headset If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I have done several performance tests of my newest hardware and compared them with each other. I have used DCS World 2.8.3.38090 Open Beta with Single Thread ST and Multiple Threads MT with an Instant Mission: AH-64D, map "Marianas" - Battle for Saipan: Dawn Invasion" After starting the mission, I have pressed OK, then [Right-STRG + Break/Pause] for two times (for displaying the frame rate) and then I have pressed the space bar. Directly after that I have checked the frame rate. I know that my graphic settings are very hard.....: null All CPUs as well as GPUs are slightly overclocked, except the CPU Intel I5-13500. Here are the results, including the fps / framerates in DCS World with ST and MT: Here as a table: 4K performance comparison between four of my computers Type Description CPU GPU RAM DCS World Battle for Saipan – Dawn Invasion Time Spy Time Spy Extreme Port Royal ST MT Total Graphics Score CPU Score PC Self build Intel i7-12700KF (12 Cores, 25MB Cache) RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X 64 DDR5-6000 84 98 („GPU-Bound“) 31977 37570 17394 16227 27128 PC Self build Intel i5-13500 (14 Cores, 24 MB Cache) RTX 3080 LHR 10GB GDDR6 32 DDR5-4800 48 58 („GPU-Bound“) 17325 17624 15810 8406 11529 PC Self build Intel i7-2600k @ 4.5 Ghz (4 Cores, 8MB Cache) RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6 16 DDR3-1600 21 38 (fast changes between „CPU-“ and „GPU-bound“) 9996 14096 3775 4506 8941 Notebook Alienware 17 R5 Intel i7-8750H (6 Cores, 8MB Cache, up to 3.9GHz with Turbo Boost) GTX 1070 OC 8GB GDDR5 32 DDR4-2666 6 7 („GPU-Bound“) 4404 4459 4118 1815 1030
