Hi there, regarding of the EFM I saw that video

[ame]https://vimeo.com/145223843[/ame]

and looking from 4:50 to 5:10 It seems irreal to pull so much nose up at so low speed without enter in a stall and afterwards also being able to accelerate.

may be the engine is overpowered? what do you think?

The EFM is a work in progress and is going to be updated continuously, right through open beta, right through release, and even after release.

Look at Leatheneck's Mig21 module as another example of an excellent EFM that is still being tweaked and fixed long after it's initial release. Just yesterday someone posted a bug report of some strange behavior at extreme AoA that should not be happening and the developers responded immediately.

*EDIT* Anyone else notice that in the video there appears to be a pretty strong crosswind (look at the factory smoke stacks ) during landing, yet the pilot did not have to crab into the wind to maintain a straight overland course heading on to the runway. Has this issue been fixed internally?

:music_whistling:

Not sure if the smoke trails are accurate or not, just checked the mission I flew and confirmed no wind setup sad.gif

EDIT: Modified plan with a bit of crosswind

I noticed RAZBAM created skins for Mirage 2000C where we can see Brazilian Air Force, etc.

My question is:

Are you going to add them as additional skins to France or you're going to create these countries.

Country creation depends on ED. We cannot create new countries.

Really nice :)

Ok it's beta enough, release it for us to test all that ;-)

This figure is more qualitative than quantitative, but delta wings have significantly higher stall angles than conventional wings (strakes have a similar effect). Interestingly, the vertical stabilizer makes the stall angle of attack even higher by giving the over-wing vortices something to stick to. Stalling a delta wing results in violent roll oscillations when the vortices separate.

I keep noticing that the flames in these shots always seem to be coming from parts that have broken off.

I think that might just be a DCS thing, fire always looks pretty unrealistic from up close in DCS I think

Yes, I know that but in the video its pulling up at near 100kts without stalling at very high angle and then accelerating from that position.

Shrapnel holes looks nice. I am curious why always a single wing destroyed?

I don't know. That happens when you get hit by BIG STRONK RUSSIAN shells. Those shells can shred an Abrams tank to ribbons, so the poor M-2000C is weak to them.

When does this offer $47.99 instead of $59.99 end?

I have not buyed jet because they have not confirmed my multiple requests on THIS:

Quick question, in addition to the built in Spirale countermeasure system, will we be able to use the Eclair-M? It's a modular system of 6 cartridge dispenser modules (CDM), that allows for up to 48 additional flares, or 108 more chaff (or a combination, flare CDM = 8 cartridges, chaff CDM = 18 cartridges). Considering the Spirale's limited number of flares, the extra 48 is going to be pretty useful in a furball!

To give an example of it's modularity here is the MBDA datasheet; http://www.mbda-systems.com/mediagallery/files/eclair-m_datasheet-1424428150.pdf

mnyZEGH.jpg

Image it shows an Eclair-M with 2x flare CDM and 4x chaff CDM (16 flares, 72 chaff).

You can see at the bottom of the Spirale datasheet an example of a Spirale/Eclair-M CDM off the aircraft http://www.mbda-systems.com/mediagallery/files/spirale_datasheet-1424429932.pdf

Thanks!

PS, module looks amazing, super excited!

This would be great to have, as the limited flares mentioned in the video scared me a bit!

Yeah all the discussion is useless with only 18 Flares

Give me that upgrade!!! Otherwise i don´t buy it biggrin.gif

EDIT: OMG found a failure in my old post: M2000C has only 16 flares

Mirage does indeed have only very limited flares. However, this "might" be remedied (no confirmation yet) by the implementation of an external countermeasure pod.

I agree, I too would really like to hear from the Devs on this. Even if this wasn't originally planned I think it would be crucial to increasingly the viability of the mirage against the other aircraft in DCS. Therefore I hope they will decide to add it. 18 flares just will not cut it, my MiG 21 can carry more that that! Heck, with my MiG being able to carry more missiles and flares, I should think the Mirage might be seriously threatened by it without at least this countermeasure upgrade!
