Still says the Alpha is available Feb 2014. If that is true (and if I get confirmation of my paypal contribution to the previous Kickstarter) then I would be willing to put money towards this. The funding duration is strange though... Apparently it has been available since December, without any announcement, and no one has contributed? This definitely needs official confirmation.

Agree with Buzzles, it is likely a scam. I don't recall anything being said about Indiegogo funding, which would certainly explain the $0 raised. I think someone was hoping a few people would stumble across this and pass them some cash (says they get everything even if they don't meet the goal).

That funding scheme is standard for this crowd funding site. This is where/how Beczl Studios raised money for the Mig-21.

True Beczl did fund the MiG through Indiegogo, but he also announced it while RRG did not, which is the only reason I'm skeptical of the page. It might end up turning out to be legit (and I hope it is), maybe Ilya created it and forgot about it or more likely might have made it as a backup to the kickstarter - so that if they failed to hit the funding cap they could invite those that did contribute to do so on Indiegogo and at least get some funds (since KS gives nothing if you don't hit cap). Hopefully we'll get an answer back quick on this.

Flexible Funding....this campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal..

..I'm sure if it were official RRG stuff they would have announced it in order to get it rolling...most likely a copycat crime....

It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.

It may be an option, but most Indiegogo projects tend to not use that and do the same method as kickstarter, purely because that flexible funding method is often used for scams.

Sometimes it's not, but it's always something to be very aware of on indiegogo.

Ran into an almost identical scam on Kickstarter. Promised DCS World P51 keys as a reward. Took the money, disappeared, never delivered. Beware.

We will let you guys know, but I would assume its a scam right now to be safe.

This.

We strongly advise anybody to stay away from this unless there is confirmation from Ilya about affiliation with RRG.

You'd think someone would be smart enough to include some newer renders of the Aircraft being developed and stuff, and not copy/paste the kickstarter campaign body.

And why does Ilya refer to himself in 3rd person on the Creater Bio?

Yeah, I was hoping to hear something by now, but I would go with its a fake as there hasnt been any announcements about any extra funding at all, and it looks like an exact copy of the kickstarter with only a few words changed.

I came to that conclusion before I ever made the original post. I would still expect a some sort of guidance from the entity that is being misrepresented.

I agree it would be nice, but you are correct to lean towards the side of caution, and if it is legit then its a lesson in lost opportunity for more fund for the project, but again... I just think is a fake. Only 17 hours left in it now anyways :)

Erratic communication, to say the least. The campaign is not an identical copy, whoever set it up put work into it and knew his field. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this campaign wasn't just another half-baked (for another word) attempt by Mr Shevchenko.

Have any of the paypal backers heard even a word from him yet?
