How can i fix this !!!~:mad:

A good place to start is to tell us exactly what is the matter. See the following threads as to how:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=88164

Another thing not mentioned specifically:

When reporting any Error/Crash/Fluffball/Delusion of Grandeur etc etc, ensure that all reports are based on a Vanilla, Unmodded install.

  • Are your graphics card drivers up to date?
  • What is your hardware setup (--> DxDiag report?)
  • When does the crash happen? Immediately when clicking "fly"? When something specific happens (i.e. when certain graphic effects are rendered?)
  • What are your graphics settings in DCS? What happens if you change the MSAA settings?

Many times, my game will crash when i get hit .

Or exit the game.

Exit a running track.

Basically anything that halts the current operation.

I could try running no overclock, maybe it helps, no problems running Prime95 or any other program though

It's a hardware fault ! :smartass:

It seems you may be right.

Someone else is reporting a similar issue and is putting it down to the joystick not being compatible

Try deleting or renaming your C:\username\saved games\DCS folder and restarting the game. It should create a new DCS folder and new files. See if that helps

win7 or win8, running with admin rights or not admin rights?

when you crash open the extended crash report (little arroow on the stopped responding window) and say what .dll is causing it.

do you have any weird mods running?

That would be a starting point.

If you have a track that will reliably cause the crash, you could also try it with all peripherals disconnected. If that solves it, reconnect them one by one until you have the culprit.

Don't try everything at once though, that will make it easier to pinpoint the problem.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Maximus_Lazarus,

the most important point in finding errors in PC systems is to have a fifty-fifty method of trial and error:

Depending on what you try to track down, always try to EXCLUDE as many possible causes as possible with what you do early in your research. This way you safe a lot of time and frustration.

What I would do if I was consulted for this:

A: Run Prime95 again, check settings and have your RAM used as much as possible. What temps do you reach ? How much RAM is used/unused. Then, test the same with MAX CPU usage and MAX TEMP settings. Let the test fun for at least 2-3h, 5 minutes will often not show the error.

B: Download memtestx86 and burn the ISO or use any Ubuntu/SuSE Live Linux and choose memtest at the boot-prompt. It is a far superior test in finding RAM errors in systems with more RAM than Prime95 usually addresses. Have that test running for a few hours, again..5 minute tests don't say much

C: Do you have ANY other hardcore APP/GAME that can stress your PC ? How does it behave playing BF4 or any other high load application. Any glitches with other software may point to non-DCS problems.

D: Clean your PC ! Dust is a #1 killer !!!! ( Maybe this should be #1 to exclude this right away )

E: Start as sleek as you can, disconnect ANYTHING, inside and outside the PC to start with: Scanner, printer, joystick, throttle, rudder, 2nd screen, camera...also, if you know what you are doing, try taking parts out of your PC or disconnect them. Any HD not needed, DVD drives, USB-MultiFunction Readers, change your mouse, change your keyboard if possible.

IF your system has plenty RAM ( like 16GB or more ), try taking RAM modules out and try with each module, DCS and any RAM test. Sometimes the RAM is OK but the mobo/PSU fails supporting it with enough juice. Module by module is the game's name here.

F: If you still can't find it and if you have the option of installing a fresh Windows OS, do that.

If you have an empty drive, connect it and disconn all others, install Vanilla Windows and Updates, install DCS-Vanilla and try again. Apply ALL MS-Updates prior to installing DCS.

It's a pain to troubleshoot such errors... hell I know

forget this:

depending on your Video card, try different versions of your driver, older and newer beta ones.

Most of my BSODs in the past years were NV bound and came and went away by changing drivers. Also, do the same with your sound card, though this is a lot harder to do since Audio drivers don't have such a short half-life and usually you only have a few to choose from. One way to do it is maybe to disable onboard Audio and/or take the add-on Audio card out temporarily for testing.

i am getting SEIROUSLY angry now

Can't properly alt_tab out of the game, as it DISAPPEARS from my task bar, and to get back in i need to open up TASK MANAGER

Computer needs a REBOOT whenever i crash , or do ANYTHING

And what's up with the idiotic loading screen, why does it need to get OUT of the game to load anytyhing ?

May I ask how much RAM you have in that particular system and are you SSD driven or magnetic platter ?

Reason: When the game stops aka reverts to Desktop or DCS-Main-Window it needs to offload a lot of data and even with 16GB and SSD this NOT ALWAYS works for many players as stated in many threads....

I sometimes have to wait a LONG time until a mission unloads and an estimated 30-50% of the time the game crashes... which is not caused by any Hardware failure or such.

If I understand that right, the reason is that DCS uses different executables for the GUI/Main Window and the actual Game itself. That is why the GUI-exe is terminated and a the game gets loaded. This is really cool, cause it cools you GFX card. The actual Main-GUI afaik is 2-D and doesn't need to stress your 3D card while doing many hours in the Mission Planner etc..

Though I might be wrong with the 2D thing, the Devs for sure know it exactly.

you dont need task manager, hold alt, and tab to DCS, its one of those new thing ED will probably never get around to fixing

Maximus, did DCS worked for you previously? Does this started to happened suddenly? Is anything hardware/software changed to your PC suddenly.

I really suspect you have an hardware issue. Is you power supply healthy and able to give all current output to your PC. Sometime small things generates big results. What USB devices have you connected?

And try be more verbose. If you just throw an angry phrase our patience will become short soon.

I7 3770K

GTX 680's (sli)

8 GB of RAM

Samsung 840 (something) SSD

I went back to an older nvidia driver , first time i died, my game did not crash

Second time i died (thankfully some hours later) , my game crashed AGAIN.

So the reverting to older graphic driver did nothing. I also get no problems while flying, it never crashes then.

Only when something happens, especially dying.

Also happens when

-server changes mission.

-I quit the game

- I quit a track

- Change planes

Anythging that will take me out of the vehicle basically, makes the game crash (stops responding, freezes)

I tried this "repair" thing . Didn't help. The game crashes BEFORE i see my death message. Maybe that helps in figuring out what exactly is happening when one gets out of the plane.

Want to hear a funny thing ? My tracks seem to be working excellent now though , it's so weird. I can watch 4 hour tracks at 4x speed without issues. -_-

I am considering a fresh windows install though, it's been , ... a year or two now . I just hate doing that so much

When this track is done cooking, i'm gonna leave prime running for the night, see what's up .

Does seem to be something on your end, but in the future, including logs, tracks and system specs in your original post will go a long way....

If you include a crash track others can watch and see if it ends with the same crash for them.

Lazarus,

from what I read it sounds like too little RAM to offload the game despite 8GB "usually" are enough to run the game.

What else is hogging RAM while you play ? Any other SW running that steals RAM ?

The thing that it usually "only" crashes when you die makes me believe the game has a problem switching from one EXE to the other, not uncommon for DCS, happens to many guys. Just that you have it like 99% of when you die makes me wonder what could steal RAM etc... make it harder for the game to switch ?

How much free DiskSpace do you have ?

How much Virtual Memory have you allocated ? ( manual settings, automatic.. etc.. lower/upper limit )

Provide some more guts and bones ;)
