Python Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Chop chop you guys, my attempt to save almost £3k for a short flight in the real thing isn't going so well at the moment ;) http://www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk/#!about/c7bf [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PLP Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Chop chop you guys, my attempt to save almost £3k for a short flight in the real thing isn't going so well at the moment ;) http://www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk/#!about/c7bf Especially since for the price of one spitfire half hour you can buy a gaming rig, a great joystick, occulus rift, pretty much the whole DCS collection, and still have a grand to spare:music_whistling:. Random Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 If they would let you take the controls it would be worth it though! The website states that under no circumstances would they allow that.

Their 6000£ introduction course includes actual handling of the spitfire:D This is the whole shabang beginning with the Chipmunk/Tigermoth working your way to what I guess is 30-50 minutes of getting to turn the Spitfire in the air. Not pocket change though^^
Alicatt Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Their 6000£ introduction course includes actual handling of the spitfire:D This is the whole shabang beginning with the Chipmunk/Tigermoth working your way to what I guess is 30-50 minutes of getting to turn the Spitfire in the air. Not pocket change though^^ Well I have done the Chipmunk already, it was the first aircraft I ever flew or flew in. But it was so long ago, 1972 from RAF Turnhouse now Edinburgh Airport, last week was the first time I was there since way back then, this time it was with Ryan Air as a passenger, still it brought back memories :pilotfly: Sons of Dogs, Come Eat Flesh Clan Cameron

Hummingbird Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Never liked the clipped wing version, full span version all the way!
Random Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Well they are looking into ways of doing both iirc but cant guarantee anything. Clipped arent as pretty I agree but the roll rate improvement is gonna be nice!
