Thanks for the manual. But I think there should ne a Chapter at the start describing the Mig21 and all it's systems, like you see in others manual.

It would help a lot to understand the aircraft

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this or its just me being a numpty, but the altimeter is described as having a large hand representing tens of meters, and a small hand representing thousands of meters. Should the large hand not be hundreds of meters? Otherwise how do you figure out the difference between 5100, 5200 etc? Does it mean each small line is 10m, with the larger marks indicating hundreds?

The Barometric altimeter (VDI-30K) measures barometric altitude

up to 30km. The small needle point to an altitude in km (scale 3)

while the big needle points tens of m (1).

Manual is correct, large needle points to 10's on the outer ring. so from 0..10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m (first thicker line between 0 and 1), up to 1 which = 100m and so on. Small needle is 1000's each small line on the inner dial = 1000m.

5100m would = inner dial small needle pointing to 5 and the outer dial large needle pointing to 1

5200m would = inner dial small needle pointing to 5 and the outer dial large needle pointing to 2

Thanks, that's what I thought in the end. At first I thought it was claiming that each of the marked numbers represented 'tens', with the smaller lines being 1m, 2m ... would have been a bit silly :D

I see this manual is a pre-release version.... Where can I find the final version of it?

A family member will offer me a copy of the module for christmas, but i'd like to start to read the manual in the meantime...

Cheers

There is no "final" version yet. This one is still fine for a good start and You will have plenty of reading to do. It seems that the version on LN website is the very first one, while after installing the module you will get a month-later copy with minor corrections (for example in KPP gauge description).

A lot of the modules have a full manual, like the one being written here, and then a 'Quickstart' manual, which contains the most important basic steps in most procedures in a manual of about 30 pages (in addition to the installation and activation info, I think).

I always find these shorter manuals very useful, especially when flying a model I've not flown for long or when switching aircraft and I have them all together in a printed display book for quick reference.

Are there any plans for a Quickstart manual for the Lancer?
