Brisse
Impressive how much hype they created just by putting the word "Omega" after "Catalyst".
SkateZilla
from what I was told, this driver is completely different from Previous Catalyst's and uses a new Driver Architecture. It was developed by a Separate/New Driver Team hired specifically to fix the driver problems. They included features that were originally external programs (ie Super Sampling and stuff from other applications (ie Radeon Pro). They also dumped the old Video Processing Driver model for a new one (dropping the original one designed to run on Windows XP). These are the driver's I've been waiting for, supposedly should fix alot of DPMS Off/Sleep mode blue screens when system turns off my screens, as well as Cross fire issues. These + EDGE Soon *(Hopefully) should make DCS on 4 Screens butter smooth. javelina1
I ended up bailing on AMD, and went with a GTX 970. I truly wish all the best for the AMD driver crowd. Believe me, I've suffered through some of those challenges. (though nVidia works fantastic for DCS, it really sucks for us Win 8.1 types whilst flying CloD). Buckeye
Ah man, they do this right after my two GTX 970s for SLI arrived. Oh well, I hope these drivers work out well for the AMD crowd  I'll be able to at least give them a shot for a couple weeks since I won't be able to do my new build until the end of the month (time constraints). Mustang
This driver is great, from first impressions it surpasses the previous driver i've been using for DCS (beta 14.41 OpenCL2.0 drivers) by a small amount :)
SkateZilla
I think an AMD Rep said to uninstall old ones abd reboot before installing Omega Driver due to changes in driver structure. For those with performance to spare , AMD now has its DSR solution aswell - called " Virtual Super Resolution" enjoy. Only for Hawaii GPUs right now Just upset I have to wait for VSR :-( Edited December 9, 2014 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

streakeagle
Yup, that's exactly what I get. If I uninstall and go back to 14.11.2 beta, everything is okay. Going to try running DDU in safe mode after uninstall to completely clean old driver stuff. But this is unnecessarily frustrating. I am sitting on the fence waiting for DCS 2.0 to be released before getting a new gpu. If nVidia is superior for DCS 2.0, I will have no choice but to abandon AMD after all these year of using ATi / AMD since 3dfx went away.
