F16 SEAD aircraft

 

I have noticed for quite a while now that the F16 SEAD aircraft have their pods detached from the fuselage and are positioned beneath the nose of the plane. Thought it would have been sorted by now which is why I have not mentioned it before. Am I the only person seeing this.

No, it's been like that forever. It happens in all missions featuring the F-16 unless you mod the game to fix the issue. Why ED hasn't fixed this bug yet is hard to say. It can't be that hard given that users can fix it themselves.

As has been said, its fixed internally. But due to stuff above my pay grade, certain fixes cannot be merged until 2.0. So if we dont see a fix in a upcoming patch, we will have to wait till the 2.0 release.

I wonder why it "cannot be merged until 2.0". It's just the question of changing four lines of parameters in four files for Christ's sake, apparently not affecting other aspects of the game. Sure, it's not a showstopping problem for me or other guys and I'm not loosing any sleep because of it, but I'm genuinely curious why the fix it's so hard to implement by ED team :D.

I dont know, it might come down to simple priorities, but merging from 2.0 to our current versions isnt as easy as changing our current version ourselves, so dont assume its just an easy fix, we have seen crazier things break due to "easy" fixes.

Bug Report; F-16 SEAD Model Issue 1.2.16

 

Loaded 2 F-16s into the mission editor as SEAD escorts for a A-10C flight. Chose the AGM 88 and Maverick configurations. Seems like the LANTIRN pods are misplaced on the model.
