Dirty Rotten Flieger Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I haven't seen this happen. Is the feature enabled yet? What conditions would bring this about? I heard that Mig15 is Korea would fog up when diving from high alt as they reached lower more humid air? Is that right? I would like to see this.
zaelu Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I don't think is yet modeled. Or it is disabled because of some issues. Buzzles Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Isn't this one of the DCS 2.0 features? I don't think any current aircraft can do it. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
JorgeIII Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I´ve never seen it, but haven't try to meet the flight parameters for icing to happened neither. Would love to see it. AKA TANGO-117. DCS Modules: most of them, proficiency: only a few at a time. The most crucial aspect of a simulator is its realistic physics and precise aerodynamics, accurately reflecting all flight conditions.
Spetz Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Not that but think i encountered hypoxia. Was flying about 30k feet for about 20 minutes when my screen started to progressively get fuzzier. I honestly thought my eyes were going wonky, but snapped some screenies and dropped about 20k feet and it cleared up after a minute or so. I can post pics if no ine has seen it yet.
Art-J Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 ^ No need to post them, it's there. People have experienced it, the whole fuss about oxygen system modeling and subsequent patches were caused by it. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Serp Supreme Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I might have been seeing something, because I don't know why, but I was flying the Sabre earlier and hopped into the clouds for a few seconds. I wasn't really paying much attention, but I think for a split second I may have seen some condensation on the canopy. Not 100% sure though, may have just been a combination of my eyes being stupid and my dirty screen, lol. I know its not fogging but still, its a start :D This post is protected by a pilot who has a serious lack of negotiating skills, but is absolute hell in a dogfight. Yurgon Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Not that but think i encountered hypoxia. [...] I can post pics if no ine has seen it yet. I took some screenshots when it happened to me. I first thought it was a graphics glitch -- the effect is incredibly well done IMO (from a flight sim point of view; I've never been subjected to hypoxia in RL). http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2308482&postcount=10969 So far I don't think I've ever seen my canopy fog up, though.
zaelu Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Everybody saw hypoxia effect... we are talking about canopy icing... snow on windows... not blur on cockpit instruments.
