Flagrum Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Hrm, not sure what to make of this ... but something has indeed changed: autoupdate.cfg of 1.2.14 contains a line "launch": "Run.exe", whereas it reads in 1.2.15 "launch": "bin/Launcher.exe", Seems that the start sequence has changed (intentionally?) and that perhaps runtime dependencies exist that had no bearing before?
jcbak Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 The same problem. I found that start launcher from BIN folder open the game. I can also start the program from within the BIN folder; not UPDATE however. I can run the Multiplayer from the desktop icon without an issue. It's only when I attempt to launch the program from the silver desktop icon that I get the dll error message. theropod Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 i repaired the ms runtime x64 but still getting same msvcp110.dll error here.:(
HiJack Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) I can also start DCS just by using the "Launcher.exe" directly in the bin folder. WORKAROUND for server hosting on Win2012R2: Start DCS directly from the BIN folder using "launcher.exe" and select Multiplayer from the main menu. EDIT: And when starting multiplayer from the Launcher menu it also works and I can host a server. Running no 3D rendering. EDIT2: This is on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard edition (x64). EDIT3: Ran "repair" once but no change. Edited February 25, 2015 by HiJack
theropod Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I can also start DCS just by using the "Launcher.exe" directly in the bin folder. yes, only launcher exe is working.
IvanK Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I too have OB MSVCP110.dll missing error message as well when I try to start the OB from the desktop icon. Runs ok if I start using Launcher.exe from the OB bin folder This occurred after I opened the OB Module manager and accepted its offer to install the C101. It ran off and copied some files from my main install then some C101 files were downloaded and applied.autoupdate_log.txtautoupdate_log_old.txtautoupdate.cfg
theropod Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 with using launcher exe, i deactivated mig-21 from module manager and restarted again with launcher but i cannot see mig-21 on quick missions. i tried to activate it from old saved misson but it is showing only migs nose cone(no cockpit, no exterior ...etc) i have only mig icon on main menu:)

Maulkin Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) I was able to update the DCSW program. I then used the module manager to download the Mig-15 module. It came back the same error after installing the module. I tried running the repair option and this failed to resolve the issue as well. I tried installing the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 This also did not help, but reinstalling both the x86 and x64 version of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 did work!!! http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 One thing I found odd is that it never asked me for my serial number to activate the Mig-15 module. I saw it start the activation process but then it jumped away and *poof* I was in the cockpit! :) Edited February 26, 2015 by Maulkin 1 --Maulkin Windows 10 64-bit - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 3.7 GHz - 32 GB DDR4 3600MHz RAM - EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 - Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard - Samsung EVO Pro 1 TB SSD - TrackIR 4 Pro - Thrustmaster Warthog - Saitek rudder pedals - Lilliput UM-80/C with TM Cougars

jcbak Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 At this point, I am more interested in the explanation for needing a 32bit library for a 64bit application. 104th_Cobra Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Running "./bin/launcher.exe" solved the problem, I even installed and run the MiG-15bis module in multiplayer. Chief1942 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 It's a mystery! I had the x64 already installed and I did a repair twice with negative results. Out of desperation I installed the x86 and that did the trick. I'm sure someone here can explain it. Like you I can only run the DCSW Open Beta via the launcher in the bin file. I currently have both X64 AND X86 installed and it made no difference as regards my inability to run the Beta from the original desktop icon, or any contained within the Beta folder other than the bin folder. ruddy122 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Guys, jcbak's recommendation to install the x86 and x64 version of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 worked. However, I had to uninstall both versions first and reinstall them again and it worked for me. The repair option did not work on my system.
