Natti Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Was something important supposed to happen today? I simply can't recall at all.
airdoc Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Why Wouldn't you read into them? It is far more unlikely of LNS to put images on their website of aircraft they are not working on, then the way you explain it. Judging by the Detail of the Mesh they show, the F6F will not be Ai. Think about it logically. If you ran a similar company, would it make any sense to essentially advertise a product that you had no intention of selling? +1 I think that these should be the aircraft that they have on their roadmap. Hellcat or F4U, Zeke, Tomcat and P38. My guess is that they would probably go for the Hellcat initially, since the F4U would be more of a mismatch vs A6Ms. Given that we are looking at 3 aircraft in development, i think that they should be one modern jet and 2 ww2 birds. One of the 2 "small theaters" should probably be a late PTO map, such as Leyte Gulf or Philippines, and the period units mentioned should fall into that category (including carriers, AI SBDs, D3As and B5Ns). The P38 may be on their development plan, since it is a very popular aircraft that has not been mentioned by any developing party up to now, and may very well fit in the upcoming Normandy map. It would also make sense from a commercial standpoint. Easier to develop than a jet, large sales as the only twin engine DCS multirole WW2 aircraft. fingers crossed The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good bowel movement. The night carrier landing is one of the few opportunities in life to experience all three at the same time.
QuiGon Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Was something important supposed to happen today? I simply can't recall at all. Oh yes, this: We will announce one of our new, advanced modules on Monday. Apologies to those of you who have spent half the night up mashing your F5 key, but we need the extra day to facilitate the creation of our announcement materials. For those of you with sharpened pitchforks; there are free sausages in the fridge and I see you've already started a sizeable fire. Just grab a seat until Monday. ! Koriel Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Lol, I'll wait for the announcement... I hope it's something I can justify not buying.. the DCS franchise is becoming expensive this way... Don't have the patience to wait for the sale usually and just justify the early purchase by it's introductory discount. I'm Dutch after all
Kilrah Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 There is two planes that I would pay 100$ for. The F-14 and the AJ 37 Viggen! ASUS Z370, i7 8086K @ 5,2 Ghz, ASUS Strix GTX 1080, 16GB Ram, TM HOTAS Warthog, TrackIR 5, Saitek combat rudders, 25" 1440p monitor, Oculus Rift
T0x1s Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 There is two planes that I would pay 100$ for. The F-14 and the AJ 37 Viggen! That wouldn't be a surprise for me. Many devs from LN comes from Sweden and we got a lot of Viggens and some are in a flyable condition and i dont think the documentation is classified anymore. Another possibility could be Saab 32 Lansen. I think the Lansen(and Viggen?) got a ground radar in some versions. I could be wrong tho.
OnlyforDCS Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Lol, 53 people "viewing" the "Leatherneck" forum subsection. I don't think Ive seen more in any one subsection, like ever. F5...F5...F5...(not the jet) Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.
Nefron Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I'm hoping for a Su-24. The Tomcat is pretty much a given at this point.

Schmidtfire Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Here we go! The three LNS aircrafts in advanced development. Hopefully ;)
ironmarc Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 There is two planes that I would pay 100$ for. The F-14 and the AJ 37 Viggen! Oooo the Viggen would be nice. They said something about "cats and ducks" didn't they? Viggen in english means "thunderbolt", but it's nickname, "vigg" means "duck". So there's that.
Eldur Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 There is two planes that I would pay 100$ for. The F-14 and the AJ 37 Viggen! Me 2. And, of course, the MiG-23/27.
