that's the wrong timezone, you'll have to look for leatherneck time zone, it is very variable and is controlled by a small group of trolls. It is kind of like bad weather, you know it will come but you can never be 100% sure as to when it comes.

Nice, you fly solo? just transitioned from a pilatus b-4 to a DG-300, in terms of performance glass fiber is a dream

(leatherneck, please make a glider for dcs with functioning thermals, ridgelift and waves. or maybe a l-13 powered by a tj100?)

I did fly solo in one as well as a k8 and a k21. Was only really an introduction into the world of flying for me as I'm now training for my PPL and haven't been gliding for about a year

Took a break from gliding (moneyz) and went back to paragliding but gliding was fun especially with a PG background.

I guess you guys don't have winch.

yes, you wont get far with it, but it doesn't need much to keep in the air, and it's a fantastic aerobatic plane (if its the reinforced version that is ;) ) I have one advice for you though, check your airbrake holding/neutral spring.. it's all that keeps the airbrake from extending. on my 3rd (and 4th..) solo flight it did exactly that right after takeoff. it suddenly extended fully and the nose of the aircraft went up really quickly, i was stressed out because of what had append, and the new sound in the cockpit, but it took me about 5-10 seconds before i saw that it was only the airbrakes that were extended.

You'd think it's the first thing you would check if something happens, but i was definitely a little bit stressed out.. and so my instructor told me that the first thing i should do is to look at both wings visually. And if you only find 1 out of 2 wings, forget the rest of the troubleshooting... Jump :pilotfly:

(edit, it can also be smart to hold one hand at the airbrake in the tow, just to be sure. i always do that in the B4)

Anyways, fly safe. that was enough off-topic.

I really hope the jet will be the viggen, doing short landings and stuff in that thing would be awesome.

I think one of the secret aircraft should carry on the awesome MiG line!

Bring on the MiG 25 or 31 baby!!! I feel like leaving everything that flies in DCS in the DUST

We do. But at 5€ per flight in paragliding it's hard to find cheaper ways of.flying

Whereas gliding is around 35/40 launch included

Sorry for OT

The biggest issue on pilatus for me was that symbol for gear handle just next to airbrake lever.

Every time when I retract the airbrakes I cutted myself on that. Now happily that symbol is gone since my last flight cuz I hit it so hard with my hand that it fell off just like half of a skin on my hand.

Well atleast something came up good from that. :)

I apologize too making this off topic post. This was the last I promise.

I dont think this facebook page is anything official, is it ?

I hope not, but the F4U has been hinted quite a lot. So, bummer IMO.

Because MiG - 9. That's why...

I'm not going to buy another prop until we get appropriate content for it (WW2 theatres, ground units, AI aircraft, flak...), but i'd jump at a Viggen. Any "modern" jet by Leatherneck would be a day one purchase for me.

Hmmm... It's getting late, I wonder if cobra has another date In mind to release the information?
