Rapidfire Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 So basically this is what their working on atm, so I wouldn't expect a EDGE ALPHA or Beta participation until around August September. very tedious work and time consuming. Lots of work to be done. 1 :music_whistling:

It's beyond me how you can make such conclusions from 2 months old videos of some guy explaing stuff about textures and objects... :noexpression: ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■

Lots of work to be done. This is just nonsense, they are sharing some of their how-to vids, this isnt an update on where they are... especially when they said they are pretty much done with the building of NTTR and mostly on optimizing and getting the map to a stable state in DCS... ugh... MM maybe, I'm just speculating on what I glean from their work, and what they have to work on and how long it takes for them, to make those changes their doing in the Tools. That's how I come to this conclusion. Furthermore from what I have read in their news letters, they seem to be behind all the time anyway, so what's wrong with making a guess? is it some sort of rules being broken at guessing a release? Abburo Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Nothing wrong Rapidfire, only that (assumptions in general) were said countless time here and the moderators are a bit tired repeating same thing over and over. No if there was a rule broken I would have deleted the post and given you warning points, instead I just pointed out the ignoring of the facts in your logic ;) Please stay on topic, discuss the vids, lets not turn this into a 'guess the date' thread. Red Dragon-DK Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) Reviewing creation of buildings in EDGE On Twitter DCS uploaded some tutorial, creating bildings in EDGE. Both in Russian and English language. Perhaps it is helpful to creators who want to build things for the new engine in the future. Her is some of the eng versions. There are more on the Ru part. vicx Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 The videos are interesting. Making DCS World props does not look hard to do. It is also interesting to see that a bit of attention to detail can make some of the props look really nice - one of the towers with a baked self-illumination texture looked pretty cool. There might turn out to be a few people who really want highly accurate props. If DCS World 2.0 had Steam Workshop support it would be pretty effortless to browse and install them compared to how it is has to be done now.
