0xDEADBEEF Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hello, we use the stable DCS World version. So now it's 1.5.2. Greg you forgot to put stable in quotes, it should read "stable" ;)
atonium83 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Does anyone have already report bug with the M-2000C on the Op Blue Flag server ? I'm the only one of my team mates to doesn't have center fuel tank available.....
Darkwolf Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Just right now, server simultaneously crashed several players out of the game. It report dx11backend.dll however since squadron mates had the same at the very same second, we suspect something on server end. I'm not complaining, just reporting so you can check your logs. We had a great day today and thank you for the server :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Also....Join the largest DCS community on Facebook :pilotfly:

HiJack Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Greg u know what the major differences between stable and beta are currently? I've got no idea... No difference, they are on same build. But new patches will hit OpenBeta first and there may be new bugs introduced, we don't want that in the event of course. :)
Exocet Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Beta or not this game will be never stable

gregzagk Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Hey guys, thanks for registering. Sorry for not replying earlier. We are working on some changes to increase stability and avoid some Server crashes we faced. About the ground units type, positions etc, we are going to release the new updated SOP pdf file for the new round asap. Added also weather varieties in each mission restart and also morning, midday & night versions. Right now the Server runs the overcast version of the campaign :) Both sides should plan their tactics based now also to weather conditions (e.g. more fuel transport during overcast etc) Greg Edited January 31, 2016 by gregzagk "ARGO" DCS UH-1H DLC SP Campaign 373vFS DCS World squadron (Greece) - www.buddyspike.net "ARGO 2.0 Project Phoenix" UH-1H DLC Campaign - WIP

Darkwolf Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 We tested night & storm setting, that was nice ! Very challenging, especially the wind, but that breaks the routine and get even more rewarding. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. Also....Join the largest DCS community on Facebook :pilotfly:
atonium83 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hi guys, I just want to be registered at blue side: Atonium83 Thanks a lot.
Pikey Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hi Guys, We had a list of thoughts from our testing for consideration. 1) Make mortars controllable again. they can't move but they might be useful if they could do indirect fire. Else mortars are pretty useless. 2) Make Jtacs moveable. You can't tell if they can see anything until you deploy them, you can't "un deploy them" Or allow them to be packed up again (more effort) 3) Make chopper rescues repair all lives lost and reduce lives to 4. Make dying in a chopper not lose lives. Make transport choppers always playable when slot blocking as per normal CTLD. The change may then be meaningful for emphasing choppers and controlling fighters. After all we don't want lives to stop you playing, just to stop you ditching your aircraft or playing recklessly. It's pretty rare we ever use all 7 lives. 4) Remove all named slots, squadron named slots dont add anything, its a lot of overhead to manage and makes finding slots harder. It will be easier to balance the map this way by putting limits on fighters properly because you dont have slots reserved for absent squadrons. 5) Make EWR's persistent at server rotation using DAWS mod in specific tag mode. Let's face it, we kick ourselves the 3 hour time limit is over so quick and the objects we dropped are erased. But, let's be fair, some units it would be unfair, (cough stingers) but we like developing the tactical, right? 6) Block entering sides you are not allocated to. We can do it now, so lets do it, stops people swapping sides without registration. YEah there is a big list of folk, but to a computer its a table with a millisecond check, its just as easy to implement a player list as it was the slot blocking on the GameGui.lua 7) Add statistics for chopper in picking up pilots and items dropped, when stats comes back of course 8) *Cough* LotATC ask again :) ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

xcom Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 New feature - Side selection. We just finished creating this new feature, this means that a player will be locked to a certain side for the whole duration of the campaign round. How does it work: - First time enter the server - No slot is available. If a slot is selected, the player is thrown back to spectators and given a chat message explanation that he needs to write in chat - blue or red ,In order to select with which side he wants to fly with in this round. - After writing in the chat, another chat message is returned that a selection has been made and the player is locked on that side, only that side slots would be available, if selecting the opposing side slots, a message will appear in chat explaining that a selection for the other side has already been made. * In case anyone would like to change sides, he would need to contact someone from BuddySpike team to do it with an explanation why. What is it good for? We have seen in several occasions players jumping between sides to id enemy fighters and give GCI/AWACS information to the opposing team by using the other side JTAC commander overview. With this new feature, this is no longer possible and sides are divided for the round duration. Here is a video creating this feature - http://player.twitch.tv/?video=v40325393 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] BuddySpike Website | Live Map & Statistics BuddySpike Twitch Channel Buddyspike Discord Buddyspike Facebook
BaconSarnie Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Excellent, I had to point out to someone last night that his repeated side swapping was out of order. 0xDEADBEEF Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) Yay this is cool stuff XCom!! I have one request for us chopperheads! PLEASE add Windsocks to the farp and other tactically important areas! You know ED recently added a neat animated Windsock model ;) As long as theres no wind its fine without, but as soon as there is wind, windsocks are a vital feature for choppers! Landing with wind is one of the most easy things you've done in a chopper, as long as you land into the wind. If you land downwind and are not prepared your risk of crashing with VRS increases dramatically. I started dropping smoke very often, but this dramatically increases our visiblity for the enemy, and you know how well the Huey is protected against fire ;) Edited February 4, 2016 by 0xDEADBEEF
