There's something wrong with the Skynet. I kill an Su-33 but in the message the other guy get credit for it (the message is funny : M2000 kill with AIM-120). There's more, in the message an OSA kill me and that is a team-killed it says, in fact I still flying safe and sound in my F-15.

As I've already said, there is a mistaken identity bug in skynet I am working on.

DCS API is getting more and more unreliable as they update the game.

Usually, the problem is missing information in events but since 1.5.4, the API started to give me wrong information.

I am working on a work around but it's not easy to untrust an official function.

 

I know what's happening so I don't need more information on it or a post each time it occurs.

It's just a matter of finding a fix that causes less problem than the bug.

 

I know it's frustrating but it is for me too ; Open Conflict is like one more official broken function away to lose key features.

 

As usual, I'll keep you guys posted thru release notes :thumbup:

You reporting those bugs to ED so they are aware? Or have others already reported them?

I'm sorry if it feels unnecessary I though the info would help little. I appreciate what you're doing. My DCS's multiplayer is less interesting without your server..

I feel your pain Mirk, let's hope they fix it at some point in the near future.

Well, they didn't get me this time...

I had to drive my Mi8 on road from the LZ back to the FARP last time I did a rescue. Rotors was apparently a tad bit too short for lifting me and my rescued pilot (I may have touched something while dodging fire from nearby tanks.... ;) ), but still enough to have the bird roll on ground.

I unfortunately couldn't make it, a sudden turn got the best of me, we ended up down a ravine. A good 20 minutes driving it down the road, though

yea dust multi-crew is out, but still a bit buggy, sudden lose of tail rotor for no reason might happen and if you want you can troll people by jumping into their copilot seat and then jumping out, that will take away the option for them to gun them self :P

cosmic and me tested the shoot while moving tactic and it is a lot of fun for sure !

still waiting for the mistral version to be available on the server for some mosquito runs:smilewink:

Yea I used to isolate and report them but never have I received an answer or a fix so I kind of opted to bypass the bugs as much as I can.

So far, I've managed to bypass most of them and create a guesstimate algorithm to compensate for others :thumbup:

 

Anyway, we appreciate all you are doing, OC is one of my fav servers. :)

At some point, I was piloting an aircraft somewhere in the map when the AI killed me, can you fix it please?

More information? I don't know man ; I was drinking beer and flying without pants ; does it help?

 

ok might not be an actual quote but I wanted to know if the new AI zones are better for the couple of weeks?

Do you feel you have more space to express your feelings and kill each other without AI intervention?

Hi, just started flying on your server, it's really cool for heli copter training. Love it! :) A small request, could the F10 menu stay up a little longer when requesting tasks? I am terrible slow with writing down all the info and find myself rerequesting a lot of tasks.

 

Have you any plans for slingload cargo or did you try it recently? (I think there were issues in MP some patches ago)

 

edit: Oh another thing, would it be possible to display different types of coordinates?

I removed it when it was unstable and crashing the server a long time ago.

Never had the courage to do the experiment again :lol:

I am not sure I understand this request.

The objective system can display you in metric or imperial system (-opt unit).

You can also ask for a detail report and it will display you the grid and lon/lat coordinates of non moving targets (-ag <objectiveCode>).

I am not sure what other coordinates there are except spherical coords from the center of the earth :)

Sorry, I mean the grid system which is used L/L, L/L Decimal & MGRS. Sad news about the slingloads, but stability > all! ^^ I am up for any tests if you want. :)

Absolutely! For fighting and defending the bases around Tuapse, the AI really isnt bothering you anymore, but engages once you get too close to the Farp, at least when flying Red.. :music_whistling:

 

Also, they tend to stay up longer I noticed, because they're not scrambling for every fight around bullseye.

 

I think it's great, the only grain of salt is that those sexy F16s wont lock fighters that often anymore, datalinking their SPI to my A10, resulting in more of a challenge if you go alone.. :helpsmilie:

 

Mistrals are the only thing that could improve the server even further now IMO :thumbup:

piggybacking off what bert said the AI CAP seems much more reserved now which is good. I can now takeoff on a server restart in a SU25T and head straight to the convoy and attack it without being bounced by the AI (unless I stray too close to the blufor farp, which is understandable!), the AI feel much more like a defensive asset instead of an offensive one.
