I think it is fair. The full DCS modules use a fewm minutes to get set up- No probs for me having that compesated with fueling and arming.Pretty immersive too, and deffo makes you care about your AC more:)

Sorry for complaining but it's war time... plane should be airborne in 5 minutes....

And about flying Rambo, you have big distances to fly every time, so this is the first barrier to not get splashed quickly, and about the guy who want to fly rambo he will just be the meal of the ennemy, even if he was refueled or took 5hours to refuel.

I don't care i will jettisson my canopy anyway and taxi faster... :)

The problem comes when you're attacking an enemy spawn point, it helps reduce a non stop endless supply of bandits. Currently there is no airframe stockpile for AB.

Some bugs encountered last night:

1st, it shorted us ten minutes on the mission restart. It said "15 minutes remaining" and then restarted the mission 4m30s later.

2nd. About a minute before the mission restart, I dropped troops at the Kutaisi/Tblisi FARP for blue and got the capture message, but when the server came back up the FARP was still red. Having spent an hour cruising from Vaz and waiting for the strikers to clear the area, this was most irritating.

Hello thanks a lot!

Will take a look for the restart minutes.

About the capturing. If you get the message that it's captured then the file is saved and it can't restart on the false side. The things that comes to my mind is :

a) Did you see it as red in the gadget or Web based map or only in the F10 map? If so it would need 20 minutes to repair and would then be blue

b) Maybe it was when we reverted all airbases and FARPs to their initial side?

a) I wasn't looking at the web map, and as a huey pilot the FARP wasn't visible to me on the f10. I'm going entirely by the message that said "INTEL REPORT: (Our forces have captured Kutaisi_Tblisi-Lochini FARP!)" after I dropped troops.

b) This capture was immediately before the too-soon mission restart, so I don't think it was something the admins interfered with manually. Also, it was when bluefor had been pushed back to the three airports around Tblisi and nothing else, if it had been related to a general reset of the war this FARP would have gone to blue regardless and so would a bunch of other things. Pretty sure the Kutaisi/Tblisi FARP is originally owned by blue.

I have a shadowplay recording of the whole thing, so I can provide screenshots if you want them. I can do screenshots of the time bug too.

You are absolutely right...you should have fully fueled aircraft waiting for you when you respawn after getting shot down...However nothing in life is free.

So in lieu of not having any fuel or weapons on your airplane when you respawn, I suggest anyone who is shot down has to wait a minimum of 1 hour for Search and Rescue forces to work up a mission to come rescue them...then the rescue chopper must fly an appropriate amount of time to simulate flying out to your crash site to pick you up...of course, it must fly the same amount of time back as well...now, once you land you'll have to go see the flight surgeon to be checked out and cleared to fly again...assuming no injuries that is. Any injuries and you're grounded for sure...Get the point? I'd say an interval of 6 hours between shoot down and Engine start is more than fair...what do ya think?

This is supposed to be a simulation...not an arcade game and you don't have the first clue what wartime is. ALERT Aircraft take about 5 minutes to launch...others take more time. It takes 5-7 minutes to start up and A-10, load some coordinates and get airborne...compare that to the amount of time it takes you to hit a few keys to turn on electrics and start engines and you should realize you have nothing to complain about. (Never mind the fact just those two tasks are far simpler in the sim than in real life.

To be honest, I'd fully support 2 lives per 3 hour session. It would cut down on the grabastic Call of Duty and BF4 style gameplay and force people to use their heads.

Please keep in mind that not everyone is in a Hardcore squadron and dcs is still very bugged sometimes. Dont Start again a 1 live for x hours discussion...... Maybe Start a Server on which the squads can bash their heads, the non-elite definetly need some lives more....

Because this is an open campaign for everyone interested by design. Not a quality test for private squad recruit.

I'll just remind that since round 2 is over, we are in a mode of test.

Server restarts can occur and we are trying to maintain consistency as much as we can during this test phase so you guys can still enjoy it.

I believe what happened in this case is that the server crashed prematurely to the normal restart and right after your capture, this simply caused the status of the capture not to be saved yet.

With or without experience - everyone will learn something new in this camapign and improve own skills because of every day flights, big pressure from opponents, fast actions and frequent changes at the front. And of course a large number of players from which all can learned a lot on Teamspeak.

So, don`t worry about elite and non-elite.

Little bit concerned on the number of radars in the mission at one time now that Air defences have doubled. Not that I don't like it, I prefer it, i'm actually concerned DCS can't handle the processing and pretty sure LotATC never will :(

All those realtime LOS calls from all those units... Terrain checks... multiplicative per client...

Skill is coming by getting your butt airborne not by waiting for 1 hour after death or such...

It's a game!

Btw priceless to spend 15 minutes to refuel rearm then realise joystick is unpluged....hihoha

Hey Greg! I am not sure that the AI intercept are actually attacking. It seem to me that they just fly around with out launching any missiles back at me. I have only been in the flanker so I can not answer for other modules. It was near the coastline at Gaudadatatatatatata.

*Both today and yesterday in case you already noticed yourself.

Also I am pretty sure that they were on intercept mission and the direction that they were flying it did not look like they were winchester/heading home.

Have a nice day !

First, Please keep in mind not everyone is a adolescent with ADHD who gets his kicks from taxiway takeoffs, ramming other players on the ground, shooting at friendly assets and dropping nukes. I personally saw all of these things in the server this weekend.

Second, Even if DCS is bugged (I don't think it is near a buggy as you imply) The lives per hour discussion is valid because it could be based on server restart. If the server crashes...you don't lose anything...you have 2 lives when it restarts...So if you act like an adult, you're fine. If you act like a juvenal and waste your lives flying around grabasticly doing stupid things...you get cool your heels and plan for the next round.

Finally, nobody is being "Elite" for expecting people to follow the rules and treat others with some respect instead of acting like this it is a free app on Facebook.
