I have flickering clouds that do not go away regardless of my Nvidia or ingame settings. Anyone else have this one?

Set sli mode to afr2 in nvidia control panel

It is, and I'm running in full screen (right alt + enter). Still flickering.

So check this out... I have no idea why but my flickering clouds issue is some high tied to if the mirrors are on or not. If the mirrors are on (m key), no flickering clouds appear from within the cockpit. They still are flickering in external views but are fine in the pit. If I turn them off, then the flickering clouds immediately come back. Any ideas why this might be?

Cloud flickering here also...

ASUS ROG MARS (GTX760 dual gpu card).

SLI is set to AFR2... DCS 1.5 won't even start in FALLBACK_AFR3...

It seems to be an SLI related issue on my end. Fixed the flickering clouds and micro stutters by turning off SLI and just running on one GTX 480. All my settings are maxed out for the most part and I'm getting decent frame rates with no graphics issues now. Pushes the card to 80C but it seems to be okay so far.

I also believe that its an SLI issue. I never had it until I used Nvidia Inspector and enabled SLI and AFR2. I'm running a GTX970 so the frame rates are good even with high settings.

I have a single GPU Radeon 7970 and also have the flicker issue...

Could this be related?

While flying through a peasoup like this shown in the screenshot, I got white texture flashes that replaced my cockpit textures for the brief moments the flashing lasted. These flashes occur randomly while I was flying through these clouds; as soon as I descended below these clouds, the flashing stopped.

I tried to capture this with screenshots, but the white texture flashing did not show up on any screenshot I took... :(

I'm also getting flickering clouds...

Update: I was able to fix/improve the flickering clouds issue by setting my frame rates in Nvidia Inspector to 58 FPS (someone recommended it, thx). Still get the micro stutters though while in SLI. Clouds do not flicker at all for me if I just run on one card.

I get the same issue with two Titan X's in SLI, FPS set to 58, vsync off, gsync on, Nvidia Inspector setting reflecting SLI profile AFR (Not AFR2), mirrors ON. Apparently AFR is the correct SLI profile for DCS (Correct me if I'm wrong). Other than that (crossing fingers), the game is running extraordinarily smooth.

For the record, same problem here. GTX 690 (basically 2x680 SLI). I have to set Nvidia Inspector to 1 GPU and force single rendering to stop cloud flickering. Nothing else matters. I lose quite a bit of horsepower, but the new engine really is a nice boost, so one GPU running near 100% in large scenes with lots of stuff going on still yields 50-60fps most of the time. When running in SLI I get 100-140 fps.

Max settings minus DOF and sun glare. 512 tv displays.

I'm now no longer getting flickering clouds!

I'm running the latest 358.50 nvidia drivers. I disabled the black shark profile with nvidia inspector by removing the dcs.exe completely.

Then I made a New profile for dcs.exe keeping all settings default except AFR2 under the SLI settings.

I'm now getting no flickering clouds whatsoever. I only get about 70% GPU use out of both cards though... Not sure why it's not higher.

I second the issue of clouds flickering/tinkering.

I just saw this bug today, when i joined two servers with high denisity of clouds. So this leads me to believe its a problem of clouds tinkering because of a clipping issue.

Haven't experienced this problem on missions that doesn't have clouds so close, that they clip between them.

If the moderator thinks a video would help, i can do it.
