Nedum Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Same problem here! And as we all can see at the pictures of the OP, why is ED using this extreme haze over all the map? The trees have the right coulor, the ground textures looking strange/bad. 1.5 1.2.6 CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D, System-RAM: 64 GB DDR5, GPU: nVidia 4090, Monitor: LG 38" 3840*1600, VR-HMD: Pimax Crystal/Super, OS: Windows 11 Pro, HD: 2*2TB and 1*4 TB (DCS) Samsung M.2 SSD HOTAS Throttle: TM Warthog Throttle with TM F16 Grip, Orion2 Throttle with F15EX II Grip with Finger Lifts HOTAS Sticks: Moza FFB A9 Base with TM F16 Stick, FSSB R3 Base with TM F16 Stick Rudder: WinWing Orion Metal
Utopia Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I have exactly the same problem flying with the A-10C
rrohde Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Seems as if the distant haze is now everywhere, not just in the distance. Maybe because of this, EDGE thinks that object shadows don't have to be drawn, either; hence the "messed up" look of this patch release. :) PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com
Ranbi2Delta Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Same here, except getting it with near trees. Distant trees look fine. "What's that goat doing up here in the clouds?"
Blooze Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 If you look at the weather for a mission in the ME you will see fog unchecked with a setting locked in. Check fog then uncheck it to clear it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mustang Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Not much we can do until ED fixes this, but i do have my own little solution of sorts though...it's the next best thing, i edited terrain.cfg.lua and tricked DCS into using Medium scenes when High is used (basically you get all the scenery from High setting minus the forests) I've attached file below, if you wish to use unpack terrain.cfg.lua and it place into DCS World\Bazar\Terrain folder. 1
mattbx Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I managed to get something acceptable that works temporarily (at least for me anyway) - turn down the `Tree visibility` to the minimum. I just left all my other settings as they were - ultra terrain vis - extreme makes mine all blurred anyway

It certainly looks much better as there is no distraction from those funky trees :D Cheers
DrDetroit Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Mine is set to ultra and still have the same reported issue with the trees. I initially thought I had labels on or something. Good day, DrDetroit
greco.bernardi Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Replays had some upgrade. Now its working again!
Pindol Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Whether everything has already been repaired by the ED ??
Theodossis Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Trees are bold when I see them from the cockpit Just updated to 1.5.1 beta and I noticed something. When I see the trees from the cockpit: On F2 Camera: Thanks for your time, Theodossis
Pindol Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 The trees are reported, revisit your options and check them as some tweaks have been made These settings do not give up the file of Mustang also does not help I'm broken :(
Esac_mirmidon Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Just wait for a fix. This is an Open Beta. " You must think in russian.." Nedum Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) If you look at the weather for a mission in the ME you will see fog unchecked with a setting locked in. Check fog then uncheck it to clear it. Ok this doesn't work. With this "fog" overall the whole game lost the possibility to spot targets. Ground or air all becomes a "flat" picture, because the color is more or less the same for all objects. All becomes grey.. some more green, brown or a darker grey, but it's like you paint a picture with a grey color as long as only some details will be noticed if you look at a very short distance. The whole map lost the "deep" so we can spot targets. Here you see it very clear. I cannot even see the trees anymore because they all look like "one" piece. So the distance trees looking right but the rest of the map is really bad looking.. all is grey so you cannot see a difference between front and background. Look at the “grey” trees! This looks awful! Even the buildings are looking like a flat picture. There is no "3D" look left. So the dark green trees are the only one which are looking right. Te rest looks like a "flat" skin. That's the reason we/I can't spot anything anymore. Try to spot the grey/haze trees near the cockpit. I cannot say as quick as before how many trees are there, even the buildings looking "flat", molten with the background. This is very near to camouflage the whole world. The fog must go to get the "3D" view back. 1.2.6 Edited November 8, 2015 by Nedum CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D, System-RAM: 64 GB DDR5, GPU: nVidia 4090, Monitor: LG 38" 3840*1600, VR-HMD: Pimax Crystal/Super, OS: Windows 11 Pro, HD: 2*2TB and 1*4 TB (DCS) Samsung M.2 SSD HOTAS Throttle: TM Warthog Throttle with TM F16 Grip, Orion2 Throttle with F15EX II Grip with Finger Lifts HOTAS Sticks: Moza FFB A9 Base with TM F16 Stick, FSSB R3 Base with TM F16 Stick Rudder: WinWing Orion Metal
Theodossis Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 This bug doesn't only happens on trees but on buildings and structures too! Check those screenshots!
Pindol Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 exactly the problem is everywhere, even thou airport is flooded with water !!!! Ed terribly damaged, this update includes the entire program Dcs 1.5 even I do not want to fly with such errors is probably time to change to Falcon BMS 4.33 or FSX until you it will not mean 100%
Esac_mirmidon Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Don´t you like it? Don´t use Beta softare. You have a 1.2.16 version right there. " You must think in russian.." Pindol Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 DCS World 1.5 OpenBet installed so to be able to fly L39, but how it was possible to have L39 in a stable version of DCS I would certainly not install the open beta problematic because there is more to bury than flying and enjoy the albatross.
Esac_mirmidon Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Well, this is the only very reason to force using the Open Beta version. The Albatros. " You must think in russian.." Cykyrios Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) As stated, this is a beta version, bugs are bound to be found here and there. Just because something worked in the previous version, but is broken in the current build, doesn't mean it won't be fixed, and it's absolutely not a reason to be irritated... In the mean time, I also found this seems to happen with most transparent objects (trees are 2D planes after all), such as canopies and rotors, as well as the "icons" of distant aircraft, see screenshots. Aircraft lights (at least the A-10C's position and collision lights) also appear through the fog/clouds as they would in clear skies. Well at least, this bug helped me with my IFR approach in the Huey :p Edited November 8, 2015 by Cykyrios
FSKRipper Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) DCS World 1.5 OpenBet installed so to be able to fly L39, but how it was possible to have L39 in a stable version of DCS I would certainly not install the open beta problematic because there is more to bury than flying and enjoy the albatross. And here you show that you installed the beta for the wrong reason. It is not made to let you fly and enjoy the L-39 but to discover bugs and report them to the developers to help them create a stable DCS 1.5.x non beta. This version is not for your personal enjoyment. If you don't like it that way, stop complaining, delete your open Beta wait for stable release or change to whatever game you want. If you think you can be productive, stop complaining, write reasonable bug reports (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147710) and let us all wait patiently for the next release. That is the reason why betas were normally conducted internally before things like early access came up. It means reproducing Bugs, it's more work than fun.
