Did anybody else's Su27 Hud / Betty change to russian?

Did a complete reinstall of the beta via torrent, Su27 hud is in russian while the rest of the game is in default english

 

Is it just me?

I did a complete reinstall for the latest patch. There are no options for setting the Su27 hud/betty language and it is russian by default

 

This was not an issue before the latest update and before I reinstalled the game (completely formatted my PC, didn't backup / restore any DCS configs)

 

Not sure if it affects other modules

By default Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua

is missing ["cockpitLanguage"] = "english",

 

So I guess it just defaults to russian if that option doesn't get set at all and the game forgets to set said option when it first creates the config file

Alright, I'm updating my first post to a bug report, another person on the steam forums has the same issue

just go under your saved games/dcs open beta folder/config/settings.lua

open it with a notepad and change the cockiptlanguage line.. seems they removed the drop down box....

I know its been a while since this was posted but i tried this and it was already set to English but the hud is still in Russian.

Changing the Avionics Language under the Gameplay tab in Options works for me on the Su-25t.

I also have a russian HUD now. The larger problem is that my HUD gets stuck in RTN mode, no matter how many times I press 1 I cannot switch to any other navigation mode. This means that I can't cycle my waypoints or use the tactical view on the MFD for waypoints. However I can go radar or EO mode. This only happens after getting into a new aircraft after leaving the first one upon starting the game.

now dcs uses a new option to set the avionic lang which is under gameplay tab (cockpit lang is split into a dedicated avionic lang and special->tab customized cockpit, to make players choose them independently)

I had the same language issue. Not a bug but a feature.

 

About the RTN thingy, I read somewhere that 1.5.1 messed the assignments, have you tried to remap the key?

I'm pretty sure it must be server sided because - It works fine when you spawn in the first time. - after death/respawn the problem occurs. I can try and test it with the Su-25T - So far I have seen it in both MIG and Flanker.

I have experienced this as both host and client in multiple aircraft.

 

An interim solution is to temporarily select another A/C when respawning, then return to your original flight. This seems to reset whatever the issue is with flight plans not appearing in respawned aircraft.

Totally off-topic: After I joined the Win10 wagon my steamapp is not telling me that "in order to log in to steam I need to have a working internet connection" anymore so I will spam you laters when you are around.

Yup this is still not fixed. To manually fix this go to spectating and your HUD will be ok again the next flight.

RTN to BVR etc no problem
