Cockpit in Russian

After the upgrade to 1.5.1 my cockpit suddenly changed to Russian, now if my mind don't trick me there was an option to set that but I don't see it anymore.

problem is that customized cockpit option is gone after the last update :(

 

so disappointed by the situation, I finally had free time to spare and happy for the new spot visibility increased....ready to finally play with the mig 21 and.......Russian cockpit....:cry:

Update : I have just deactivated my mig 21 serial and reinstalled. Not only it ate one of my activation but also it didn't solve anything.

My Special tab for the Mig-21bis looks the same.

 

As I also said in Your other post, regarding this issue, - the Mig-21bis seems to be the most troubled module right now.

It's true, I checked my options again, and noticed that the customization option is available in all the mods, except the Mig-21.

 

In regards to the activation, I had to reactivate as well, and lost one activation due to the update. I hope they fix these problems, and some others in a hotfix or something, right now is rather messed up.

That's odd, with this option on I have russian cockpit, with the option off english.

Then open Hint_localizer.lua and change country = "RU" to country = "EN" on 5th line

 

I recommend editing it with Notepad++(free) rather than windows notepad(could mess up something)

Change your "Avionics Language" from "Native" to "English. It's in "Options" > "Gameplay".

 

This is the setting referred-to in the LUA files as

LockOn_Options.avionics_language

.

 

Once I changed that, my Mi-8 and MiG-21 tooltips were back to English, as was the Ka-50 ABRIS text.

The MiG-21 has 3 cockpit texture folders

• Default - Russian
  
• English - Set by Settings\Gameplay\Avionics language = English
  
• Custom - Russian copy, Set by MiG-21Bis\ Special\ Custom Check box
  

So for an 'almost' all English cockpit

 

Options" > "Gameplay" > "Avionics language" and chose English.

The custom cockpit will take precedence over the other 2 and is by default Russian, so don't select that in the 'Special' tab, unless you have installed an alternative English cockpit to the 'custom' folder.

Yes! It worked, I only messed around with the Custom Check box, but never changed avionic lanugage to english.

 

Now everything is back to normal. Thanks a bunch Ramsay, made my day :)

The 3/4 English/Russian translation is Leatherneck's English cockpit.

 

For a fully translated cockpit, you'd need to install a mod like Quartermaster's
