I have the avionics upgrade to the Iris F15E that the M2M and Razbam team did before they completed the Mirage for FSX. It is wonderful. Both the F15E and Mirage are lovingly made and reflect the talents of developers whose abilities are very much above average. I was upset when the F15E was not brought to the completion that many of us had hoped for in those platforms. I was amazed when M2M seemed almost to close down. In both of the models that they were responsible for they had produced some of the most sophisticated, beautifully modelled, incredibly detailed and yet excellently optimised military models in desktop flight simulation. I was gutted when I thought that they had either given up or gone bust or something. I now realise that they went over to DCS and that the Mirage is the first fruit of their endeavours after the research that'd originally been put into the FSX/P3D version. I should just say that if these guys are the same ones who made my AU for F15E, and they intend to bring the F15E to DCS, then I would expect something very special. I would hope they are able to go to it after the Harrier.

best wishes

Neil.

From everything I've read it would have to be after the F/A-18 is released since that's the first DCS module that would require an A/G radar. It sounds like people are waiting for info from ED themselves upon that plane's release, least that's what I gather.

RAZBAM have 4 other aiecraft that they are working on at the moment or are next in line. The Mudhen will come one day into DCS by someone eventually, but not any time soon.

F-15E will be the pinnacle of the DCS when it comes out. The most complex and most capable jet no doubt. It will be the hardest to learn with all it is capable of too. :)

Do, or do not, there is no try.

And once that's out... Can we at least get a full fidelity MiG-23/Su-15 for opposition (because modern Russian jets are impossible to get info on...)? ;)

Info for the MiG-23 is out there in one form or another but it sort of got cancelled not long after being announced by Razbam. Here's a quote from Matt Wagner;

Just to be clear, the MiG-19 does not have a DCS license agreement at this time. Hopefully it will in the future if the developer (a sub-team working with RAZBAM) can demonstrate the level of quality needed. It simply does not conflict with already established plans, as the MiG-23 did.

yea its still in the plans AFAIK but basically anything that has A/G radar is pretty much put on hold until ED finishes the Hornet and releases the A/G code for 3rd parties

( with the exception or LN or rather heatblur that managed create their own A/G radar for the viggen)

we don't get updates on the released modules, you want updates on the future possible projects ...

I don't want any updates on F-15E (though it's all I ever dreamed of in DCS), I want them to finish Mirage

they posted an update in the Mirage III thread saying the 3D developer had some personal problems to deal with but would be up to speed soon.

I was wondering about if this same 3D developer was the one working on the F-15E too?

Metal2Mesh? Is my best guess.

I wonder if Razbam could be kind enough to give us a tiny update as to where the 3D art stands on the F-15E

Guys/Gals not to trying to burst a bubble or ruin a conversation. But RAZBAM still has a list of 4 more aircraft to release before it gets to anything else (meaning the Strike Eagle or whatever project). That and this thing will be ridiculously complicated, the Hornet has nothing on the Strike Eagle, because it has 2 cockpits to model. Conversation is great I just want to say I think it would be wise for nobody to get their hopes up for at least a couple more years.

But thats what I think as a huge Strike Eagle Fan, an aircraft that will be the end all of Strike Fighter's, take it as you will. :)

I'm thinking the Su-32 (27IB) and Su-30M would be a close second and third, and I'm hoping I'm remembering right, and someone is modding up the 30M for Team Red. They both really should be in FC3.

But the Ferrari of strike fighters? Definitely the F-15E. I'm hoping this is less than a two year wait.

Team Red wish MiG-23/27, Su-17/22, Su-24, Su-30 C, Yak-130, Tu-16, Tu-95, Tu-22M

Team Blue want AH-1W, AH-64, Alphajet, A-4, Jaguar, Tornado, F-16, A-6, A-7, F-111, F-15E, B-52, B-1B

I saw a post a while back saying FC3 style aircraft will most likely never be done or at least are very unlikely. ASM is what dcs standards are now at. (I couldn't find a quote I apologize) As well there are many issues creating a modern or even pretty out dated Red Team fighter so that will also be unlikely, the Russian government doesn't seem to declassify many systems. I would love many Russian / Red fighters but it doesn't seem like we will get one anytime soon.

i7-4790 @3.6GHz, 16GB DDR3 Ram, GTX 745, Saitek X55 Rhino, Track IR 5.

Modules I can't wait for (Wishlist)

F/A-18C, F-16(Block40+), Su-30, Su-24, F-15E, Tornado IDS

Oh-58D, Ah-1(W/Z)

Missile Flight Model Upgrade

ATC upgrade

Wing Vapor and Wingflex (on everything)

ED tried to make a modern Su-27, but the Russian government threatened it with legal action and the project was stopped.

Are you saying they are not going to make any DCS level aircraft that were featured in FCS (like DCS Su25T for instance) or are you saying they are not going to make any more simplified aircraft (like FC3 Ka50 for example)?

I think either scenario would be a mistake. I love the Su25T for instance and would pay top dollar for a DCS version (though I wonder if there is a legal agreement for the FC3 version that is preventing this). I also think that having some simplified aircraft would broaden the online player base. Not everyone has the want or time to learn all of these complicated systems.
