mwd2 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You know, that the Russian Christmas break starts 7th January 2016! Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815
OxideMako Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You do realise that until Wags does the start up and landing videos we're nowhere near release don't you? He only does that for ED/BST modules. He didn't do one for the MiG-21, Hawk or C-101. This is done by RAZBAM, so he likely won't do one for the Mirage. He also does say that release next week IS feasible,he just implies it is unlikely. So "nowhere near release" is, at the very least, a misnomer. For the F/A-18 however, it would be accurate, just not the Mirage.
Valinor Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You do realise that until Wags does the start up and landing videos we're nowhere near release don't you? My guess is that he'll be testing it himself all over the Christmas break - as a reward to himself for all his hard work all year. And who can blame him, he has worked hard hasn't he? And it looks like a great module, wouldn't you want to keep it all to yourself too? Then when he has had his fun, he'll unleash it on the world. When? That's always been the hottest question in DCS Land hasn't it. I just want to also say sorry here to anyone I might have been unkind to on this thread. Sorry guys, and have a great Christmas, and a Happy new Mirage 2000C! Do you honestly believe he didn't have a build before? He also made a Q/A video using it :P He doesn't need such plans to test it. Anyway, what Wags said is also about some bugs being found AND Razbam still having to deliver a quick start manual

Muppetlord Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 You know...Just in case you haven't noticed but Wags has only done start up tutorials and such on Belsimtek modules. And since it very clearly said "DCS: M-2000C Coming Next Week!" I think it will be comming next week.
il_corleone Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Now that we have clarified he things thanks to the comment from Zeus and Wags everything is fine. We hope that the Module is on the Deadline posted by ED because they know more than us on their bussiness, and of course , they don´t want to add a scracth of a week or more on that list of only one day margin, and also I would feel bad for Razbam Salute and Good luck!
King_Hrothgar Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I didn't see anything in there that suggested it was going to take a long time. It all looks fairly mundane to me.

Anyway, what Wags said is also about some bugs being found AND Razbam still having to deliver a quick start manual Well, the fact that he has already produced a video flying it - I might just have had a vague clue! You may have noticed that most of my posts on this particular thread have been humourous or ironic. A natural reaction to all this wild speculation really. Do I honestly think Wags would hold it back? Come on!
enigma6584 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 As Zeus mentioned, the beta build is now out of our hands and as I begin my holidays, I just want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! I can see how excited all of you are for the module and I am personally flattered and humbled as we have a lot to live up to. While on vacation I look forward to seeing you guys in the sky with the M-2000C next week! After the holidays, I'll be back at it fixing bugs and putting the finishing touches on it. As I have said before, it is a joy to fly and I hope you all feel the same. Merry Christmas to you as well CptSmiley and thank you for fulfilling my dreams to be a Mirage fighter pilot! :)
Raven68 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Not trying to start the hype train again, but Sunday is the beginning of next week and ED has been known to release a module on a Sunday. If I am not mistaken that was the day the P-51 was released and very surprising! Here's to hoping for a Sunday release. :D Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz; Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB 256-Bit GDDR6; Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 11 Professional HP Reverb G2 /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies; Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

Raven68 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 NOT AGAIN PLEASE Just trying to get some positive thoughts going here. :) Also with the latest news coming from ED and the backing from Wags post I can see it only being a few days out at the most. Brisse Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Just trying to get some positive thoughts going here. :) I'm so glad they didn't release yesterday. This way I got to spend some time in the Bf109 K-4 over Nevada yesterday. I realized I haven't done nearly enough of that. Owning all released modules has this side effect that causes you to spend less time on some modules than they really deserve.

That is the exact time that the last module was released! Are you seriously suggesting you might have some divine inspiration? That's how religions get going, and you know what trouble they become! :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie: :helpsmilie:

Nah, they: cannot give an exact date given that we just started testing the module. So late next week given ED's track record with this sort of thing, and Russians don't have Xmas till the 7th Jan they would likely still be working. Unlike the rest of us at home waiting for the Mirage!:D
Zeus67 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Hello folks, just an object lesson in why testing is required before release. We goofed in our test version. Inadvertently we created the 1.5 Caucasus map version, using the parameters for 2.0 Nevada map. We didn't catch it until today when it crashed. The problem has been solved but at least it involved one beta tester and not hundreds of you people. Carry on with your favorite program. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."

This is why I am falling in love with this team! I will be purchasing this module for sure in the near future, but other priorities are in place at the moment. Also...again I am wondering once the module is released and the pre-purchase price has ended, will I benefit more using my maximum bonus money towards this purchase. It's a gamble I am willing to take and it will be a win win for myself and the RAZBAM team either way. :) Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz; Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB 256-Bit GDDR6; Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 11 Professional HP Reverb G2 /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies; Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals
