It was shown not long ago a development picture of the Harrier with force vectors on it, so they should have some preliminary FM running. What I would like to see is an actual screenshot of the cockpit with the MFDs on :joystick:

Looks good. Thx Razbam for sharing development progress and for your open contact with the community. That's really great. We love your work and I'm really exited for your upcoming modules. They raise the bar...

Maybe it has been answered in the past, but does this AV8 version have a TGP? I'm not sure...

Anyone know if this is still on track for a Q1 early access release?

Great question! An update on the release plan would be appreciated :)

There is nothing confirmed nor there was any official statement that Harrier is planned for Q1. Frankly, I wouldn't expect it during Q1 - it's "only" 2 months left. Actually I wouldn't be supprised if we'll see the F/A-18 first - based overall impression about the progress and due to the ground radar implementation. Still, all those are just guesstimates. If we're guessing though, it'll be probably end of Q2 or Q3 in best case scenario - IMO.

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all

Uhm, yes there was: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2962582&postcount=257

It would be ncie to get an update if Q1 is still possible or not, which would be fine as well. :)

Well, compared to M-2000, 2 months before release it has been shown in pretty much working state (textured, flying and shooting, with plenty in- and outside shots from the game). I don't think we will see the Harrier availabe in Q1.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Yeah the harrier is considerably more complex than the M2000C.

Still got my fingers and toes crossed though. I've been through the thread, but has there been any mention of a Wasp ship or something to take off from?

No ships as of yet...

No it's not. It's a Laser Spot Tracker and FLIR (Forward Looking InfraRed).

LSTs don't lase anything, they're used to detect lasing.

is that a camera on the tip of the nose?

It's an AN/ASB-19 Angle Rate Bombing Sensor. It has both optical and laser spotting capability to determine release points for dumb bombs.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

That doesn't make sense. Either you don't know something or you do.

But you're right if you say, that we don't know how the Harrier is comming along, but we know quite a lot about the Hornet and that indicates that a release is not that far away. It was already just 1-2 months away from beeing released, before it got delayed. The Harrier on the other hand is still far from it. I would be suprised if it will come before christmas next year, probably not before 2018

Hey QuiGon, may I ask, where did you read that the hornet was only 2 month away from release? Never heard that...

it was supposed to be released in Early Access at the end of 2016 and this has been confirmed just about 2 months before the end of the year. Only a few weeks before the end of 2016 the news arrived that it has to be delayed to 2017, so there shouldn't be much left to do now for an Early Access release.

But lets not go OT here as the subject here is the Harrier. You can ask me by PM or comment in the Hornet thread ;)

Isn't the box on top of the nose the FLIR, and the camera in the tip the ARBS TV sight/laser tracker?

Yup, also known as the DMT (Dual Mode Tracker). Harrier requires TIALD or Sniper to laser designate its own targets.
