The DCS naval environment has consistently drawn the short straw in terms of improvement - but yes this really needs sorting out - as well as the SLAVAs (Moskvas) collision box needs to be more realistic - at present the helicopters float like 2 foot from the actual deck.

Is this bug ever going to be fixed? I am looking around on the forums and seeing threads as far back as 2011 where this was an issue.

I don't remember having problems when I played Flanker 2.5 and the SU-33 and MiG-29K

This bug takes out a lot of the fun of helicopter sea ops because even if you are a perfect helicopter pilot you will crash as soon as you land due to the stupid sliding problem.

This really needs sorting out. Even if only a temporary and sloppy solution is used, it would be better than being unable to actually use ship decks in the game.

Because nothing was using AFMs back then, it will likely be looked at now that Su33 AFM is in development.

Hopefully they don't only fix the Carrier, but also the other ships that have a Helipad

there is no carrier sliding problem at least for su-33, just ships for choppers

Helos all use AFM, Su33 is currently using SFM.

As Skate implies, once the Su33 gets its AFM, it'll probably slide like the others so the carrier will probably have to get looked at.
